This one isn’t happening, if it was the ITKs wouldn’t be describing our options as depressing

Pochettino would probably try and fail to bring him, think he'll end up in Atletico Madrid if they sell Lemar.

RB Salzburg's Hee-chan Hwang (the South Korean #9) might be worth a try - salzburg have 7 CFs on their books so might not miss him mid-season. He contributes to 19% of their goals. I think Wolves are after him this window and we might be wise to get in on the action.

Alternatively just loan Llorente back, write the season off, win the fa cup, and sign Mitrovic in the summer.

edit: ah, just realised they're probably losing Haaland.
Whenever I've seen that Hwang in European games he's ripped it

Only way this doesn't make sense is if he wants 2.5 years or longer. He's still under contract at PSG and not playing so I don't know why he wouldn't come here on loan to get regular game time and put himself in the shop window.

Reckon he’d come to us? I assume he’d want to play every week.. fine for this season but soon as Kane’s fit he’s back on the bench.. I’m fully aware for it even if we just pay a big 6 month loan fee

Think it's more of a question of us paying his wages and a loan fee. Don't see what the problem is with a 6 month loan, especially if he fires us into the CL. In the summer he'll then be out of contract and probably won't be able to command crazy wages outside of the usual suspects (China, Middle East, MLS etc)

I think 1.5 plus an optional 1 if he makes enough appearances is perfectly fine, he’s an experienced player that can play with or instead of Kane. No different to Llorente who was 32 and was with us for 2 years. Hell, there’s even rumours of him coming back! Obviously he’d have to agree to that so maybe there’s a compromise of 2.5 plus 1

For 18 months it would be well worth a look IMO. We paid a decent amount in total for Llorente (Fee and Wages) and that was without knowing Kane is out for half a season. Hopefully Parrott will be ready to step in by then (if he signs a new deal). He's a beast and fits what Jose would be looking for. Would be quite a statement.

Assuming we can only get stop gaps this is surely the best option from a football standpoint. Piatek is probably the only player we've been linked with all window who wouldn't be classed as such.

Not sure we can look into this too much until there are more concrete links and a bit of ITK however.

This would be a typical Mourinho signing. High profile, big name, experienced, physical, short term fix.

It is however a very untypical Daniel Levy signing.

If we have a genuine interest it will be interesting how this one turns out. (Pretty sure I already know that answer)
