Got a sudden surge of excitement when I saw you'd posted in this thread. FFS.
He was just gauging the reaction and whether or not to say that he’s signing for us and will propel us to the CL and fa cup double

So what other options are there out there?

Any bright talents in Ligue 1?

Surprised Edin Dzeko hasn't emerged as an option, fits the bill as a target man & knows the league as well. Who was the young Hamburg forward who idolised Kane? Aarp?

Dzeko was one I thought about before the start of the season. Thought he’d have been a good upgrade on Llorente.

No way Dzeko will be happy to go from main man in Roma to back-up at Spurs.

Aarp is playing for Bayern now, he isn't getting a kick and even at Hamburg his scoring record was terrible. This was because he was a kid. He is 20 now, and still has potential but we would be buying a youth team player, who is not really ready or proven in the professional game. We would essentially be buying a youth team player and we have Parrott already. Frankly, he needs to be thinking of a move which will get him games. Would be the wrong move for both us and him.

A big, ambitious club would do the obvious thing and sign Cavani. Even if Kane hadn't gotten injured we still needed another striker for so many reasons. We wouldn't be so predictable as we would have another option/way to line up and play, squad rotation to help maintain energy levels/fitness, and we'd even have options when Kane has bad form. I'm baffled that it's taken us so long to realise this.

Liverpool: Firmino, Origi
Man City: Aguero, Jesus
Leicester: Vardy, Iheanacho
Chelsea: Abraham, Giroud, Batshuayi
Man United: Rashford, Martial, Greenwood
Arsenal: Aubameyang, Lacazette
Us: ...

Wake up Spurs..
