No, we struggled massively to create openings against low blocks routinely.
Disagree. The ball was coming into the box a fair amount just knowone with the instinctive movement to get on the end or create the space for others

Does it mean he's been everywhere in the club (not just the training ground) or he's been everywhere as in many other clubs too? Can someone clear this up for me?

Not really… look at all the best teams in the world they have a lot of players elite in 1v1 situations. Champions league winning side has vini and Rodrigo, they’re adding mbappe, city have silva, foden and doku. You need those players for low blocks and to offer something different. City have also just bought savio another player in that mould.
I think you could rewrite the first sentence to say "all the best teams in the world have a lot of elite players".

What I said was there are ways to build a squad to win games that don't require that tricky style winger. That doesn't mean that the squad would win every single game, but then neither do Madrid or City.

I'm certainly not against us signing a flying winger if that's what Ange wants. But I think some people might be thinking that if we don't spend £50m on a winger we are never going to beat teams playing a low block style. I simply don't agree with that thought process.

I don't think Chelsea were particularly great at beating low block teams, and on paper they have plenty of players who are good in a 1v1 situation. I think they suffered from poor finishing and a mismatch of players for Poch's style - not too dissimilar to us tbh.

My overall impression from last season was that we created a good amount of chances, but suffered from poor finishing at times, as well as being very exposed on the counter. So I don't personally view an elite winger being as important to winning games as adding a goal scorer or midfield cover.

As in he’s been to the clubs you’d expect I’d assume so Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool etc etc

We have been told though numerous times I believe that Ange wants an elite 1v1 winger and also that Neto is his ideal style of winger.....and you are right though that there is other ways to beat teams but I don't think we do really create opportunities against low blocks and struggled hugely last season against them constantly. Maybe we will create a new system, but quite frankly if the system incorporates a player cutting in from the left with udogie going outside etc I would much rather son who is world class at it... doing that role then Eze.
But also, when was the last time there was a top team that didn't have pacey elite wingers because I cant think of any of the last 10 years.

I read it as that particularly piece of information has been widely reported (i.e. that's been said everywhere, common knowledge). But I could be interpreting that wrong....wouldn't be the first time, and will not be the last ;)

Yeah, this interpretation makes a lot of sense
