Yeah good point. Also worth remembering that while we all agree that you ideally want your top target sometimes the 2nd, slightly cheaper, option works out super well. We were obviously put off a bit with Tapsoba’s asking price but we ended up getting the best defender who’s ever lived, VDV.

Watching how the situation with him develops over the summer I guess. We like him but aren’t moving for him currently however that could change if the right circumstances arise. Essentially watching on from afar in case.

But I could be way off.

Logically A judgement of the fee is based on the return received which is dependent on player performance.
If he had scored 50 goals then one would say that it was not expensive!
