In his press conference Ange disagreed with your last sentence, but then again he's just the Manager of the first team.

Perhaps we should re-sign Skip, Pierre, Rodon, Tanganga, Winks and the like and taken the Premier League by storm this season.

Minute 12.18 should help you understand what he was brought in to do, is doing and still has a way to go.

You write condescending posts yet you don’t even understand the point that was being made.

I do find it’s quite common for less intelligent people on internet forums and in real life to have a need to speak in that passive aggressive tone. Not sure why.

I’m not talking about the number of signings, the squad turnover or that it was wrong to get rid of the players we have. I and many others don’t think the incomings will really close the quality gap on the 4 teams we came behind last season.

and just because Ange is the first team coach doesn’t mean fans can’t have a different opinion. We have had plenty of first team coaches and will have plenty more after Ange. We can support, back but also question and debate.

We will rue this one for the next 5 years. I know it was expensive. I know they wanted the money upfront. If we want to compete you have to make these moves.

Had to be done before Oliseh though as there was now way they’d let both of them go in one window.
Once Oliseh went the only possible way to get him would have been to slap down £70-£80m with the majority of it being up front.
He’ll end up at Citeh next season

The score update for Palaces equalizer came up as we were trailing yesterday, i knew it would be him that got it.
I just caught the highlights and saw the goal, showed the exact composure we were crying out for with all that possesion around the box. Gutted we didnt get him.

Not being able to or wanting to push the boat out to get him is looking worse by the week. Such a good player.

Is this going to be like the Fernandes thread when he went to United and every time he scored it got bumped?

I don’t think we were able too. I’m coming to terms to the fact that what we want as fans is so different to what the club can actually do.

We’re still a Cb/lb, central midfielder, an Eze and a top class winger away from seriously challenging, but we said that last summer.

Paying 60 mil in one lump some is crazy. It very rarely happens outside of the oil clubs. I don’t think anyone can blame Levy for not paying it so if one feels frustrated about us not getting him it should be directed at Parish if anything. But it is true that we should have certainly moved on sooner instead of chasing a lost cause for months.

We could have got Baena instead for example who has already created 11 chances in his first 3 games. Those are insane numbers, the last Villarreal player to do that was Riquelme back in 2006 who is a legend.

Decent goal wasn’t it!

I’m so frustrated with Parish for not selling him to us for a pint of lager and a packet of pork scratchings

Good on Levy for not giving in to these South London bully boys

I really hope we don't have to listen to the usual moaners every time Eze has a decent game. Get over it lads.

don't know how to rate this- completely and uncharacteristically wrong on the first point, then back in your top poster groove for the second.

Unquestionably ways to have financed the Eze deal. Still, Baena should still just about be gettable during the next two windows- but if we're 8th at Xmas I don't think the leadership team will be taking any such risks..
