I don’t think we were able too. I’m coming to terms to the fact that what we want as fans is so different to what the club can actually do.

We’re still a Cb/lb, central midfielder, an Eze and a top class winger away from seriously challenging, but we said that last summer.

I don’t think anyone can blame Levy for not paying it so if one feels frustrated about us not getting him it should be directed at Parish if anything. But it is true that we should have certainly moved on sooner instead of chasing a lost cause for months.

We could have got Baena instead for example who has already created 11 chances in his first 3 games. Those are insane numbers, the last Villarreal player to do that was Riquelme back in 2006 who is a legend.
