Wirtz and BL have already said he’s staying this season and Madrid plus BM have him top of their list for next summer. When he goes it will be for 100 mil most likely and ether way it won’t be this window.Think city will go for Wirtz . Especially with Silva wanting to leave
Money talks though and sadly if city want a player that much they tend to get them .Wirtz and BL have already said he’s staying this season and Madrid plus BM have him top of their list for next summer. When he goes it will be for 100 mil most likely and ether way it won’t be this window.
I was wrong, they value him at €150 mil apparently not €100 mil. I mean you could get Eze for half of that, a player that City have had long term interest in. One has to remember that Alonso decided to stay another season despite a lot of interest from all the top clubs. I’d say it’s a pretty good bet that part of his condition of staying is Wirtz won’t be sold this summer. Obviously you never know in football but I do not see City spending €150 mil on Wirtz this summer.Money talks though and sadly if city want a player that much they tend to get them .
especially if he sets the euros alight
You’re onto something here.Do city even need Eze?
Will doYou’re onto something here.
Go have a chat with their sporting director.
But they play in different positionsEze may have moved up a place on City’s wanted list with the Paqueta news.
But they play in different positions
Do we not think olise is a big risk though? Another very injury prone player….There was some talk around a month ago that Palace would accept £60m each for Eze and Olise. Do we think there's any world where Spurs have a serious think about a double raid of Palace for £120m for the pair?
Olise would give us exactly what we need for the RW, with Johnson as a rotation option, injury cover, starter in cups/europe - particularly given Olise's injury history.
Equally Eze could play off the left or central for us as a starter and/or cover for either Son or Maddison. The former we do need to be thinking about a succession plan for as well.
Obviously it swallows up a significant portion of the budget but I can't help but think now would be the only time, if you're gonna do it. I'd hate to see either player end up at Arsenal.
Agreed. Eze would work better for us and Olise is injured a lotFor me it's Eze over Olise. I really think Johnson will grow on the right side. Son is still good for the left for a while yet. Then you have Eze left or central and Kulusevski right or central. It really opens the options for Ange to work with. Add another top centre forward and even though it's just 2 additions in attack it will make a big difference imo.
If Pep leaves citeh at the end of next season, someone like Alonso will be at the top of their list to replace him if BL have another good season. I wonder if that affects their long term transfer targets.I was wrong, they value him at €150 mil apparently not €100 mil. Ooof, you cut me deep. I still love Madders and think we need to consider that he had the worst injury of his career this season. 3 months out was rough and he was just never quite able to get back to his best as the league waits for no man.Didn't see Eze as a priority before, mainly because we had Maddison. Now I'm not so sure about Maddison, think Eze is a clear upgrade and would improve us instantly.
Completely disagree with you on Maddison but would like us to get Eze in over the summerDidn't see Eze as a priority before, mainly because we had Maddison. Now I'm not so sure about Maddison, think Eze is a clear upgrade and would improve us instantly.
