I concur.One of Radiohead’s best, that one
3 is what we need, 2 would be the bare minimum. So realistically we are probably only getting 1 then.Nobody has said this. This is another case of 2+2=5
POK seemed to imply we hope to bringing in 3 more this window with the third potentially being a more affordable alternative to Eze. Would imagine Baena or similar would fit into that remit. MGW or Doué probably not so much tho.If this one is a no go, do we think it will be Kulusevski as back up to Maddison, trusting the youth (Devine/Donley) or maybe an earlier target (Baena).
Correct me if i'm wrong but the 3rd player wasn't necessarily an alternative to Eze, more so a player who would be at a more affordable price regardless of position so could be an Amir Richardson for instance.POK seemed to imply we hope to bringing in 3 more this window with the third potentially being a more affordable alternative to Eze. Wouldn't it be more likely to be a Sarr alternative? With kulu, Bergvall and possible Devine and Donley covering Maddison we seem well stocked in that area. I think with the Ramsey bid and the constant links to Gallagher we want another really high energy , box to box midfielder and it seems that they don't think Bentancour is that person.POK seemed to imply we hope to bringing in 3 more this window with the third potentially being a more affordable alternative to Eze. He wasn’t even in the Everton starting 11 by the end of the season.Amadou Onana is more defensive, while Luiz has a more attacking touch to his game. Having said that Luiz has been playing in a strong Villa squad whereas Onana has been with a relegation contender squad.
I disagree. As id say that Onana could have been in our starting 11. But we ovbiously do not rate him similarly.
having said that, this is the Eze thread![]()
I think the fact that Bergvall is a good technical player has meant people see him in the 10 role but I think his energy has been just as impressive as his technique. He covers the ground so well, pops up all over the place and always wants to show for the ball. He’s got a little bit of an edge to him in the challenge too and will put himself about. I think he is destined to compete for Sarr’s spot but will just bring a different flair to the role.Wouldn't it be more likely to be a Sarr alternative? I may be miss remembering tbf but it sounded as if it wouldn’t be a defender or CM. Will listen again when I have time. I mean he probably doesn’t actually know anyway but I got the impression at the time it was more an alternative to the AM role. He did also say he hadn’t heard anything about Amir but of course that doesn’t mean muchCorrect me if i'm wrong but the 3rd player wasn't necessarily an alternative to Eze, more so a player who would be at a more affordable price regardless of position so could be an Amir Richardson for instance.
But he is still pushing the narrative that he's been told they are confident in 3 being brought in.
Think everything is still up for interpretation mate but focus very much in the forward areas for at least 2/3.I may be miss remembering tbf but it sounded as if it wouldn’t be a defender or CM. I'd take that, but like you say, lots of risk of that going wrong. We need to get a bloody move onI’d be delighted with MGW to be honest.
Him, Solanke & Neto in would be terrific.
Richi, Skipp, Regulion, GLC, Solomon, Emerson to go
Lot to do admittedly
…a natural manager decision, since Onana did not want to sign new contract. He wasn’t even in the Everton starting 11 by the end of the season.
He had a reported 3 years left on his contract, not sure him not signing a new one would’ve impacted whether he started our not, especially given Everton’s poor season. I find it unlikely Dyche wouldn’t pick his best available team.…a natural manager decision, since Onana did not want to sign new contract.
Bergvall plays box to box, Kulu up front, we're stacked at AM? No way mate.Wouldn't it be more likely to be a Sarr alternative? Out of last three games he started 2/3He wasn’t even in the Everton starting 11 by the end of the season.
Yes but Bergvall is too young to be playing full high energy games.Bergvall plays box to box, Kulu up front, we're stacked at AM? No way mate.
