Palace could be playing a dangerous game here as they’re banking on Eze knuckling down.
He may see Olise & Guehi leaving and feel somewhat disgruntled.

On the other hand he may well be a great character who just gets on with it, particularly if Glasner continues where he left off (and Guehi was injured for a fair chunk).

If he is pissed off, I’d imagine his team will tell us that & it’ll be a tactic to force Palace into taking the money in instalments.
He doesn't strike me as that type, to be fair. I think the biggest danger they're leaving themselves open to is the possibility that somebody triggers the release clause and agrees to pay up front on 31 August, leaving them with no time to secure a replacement.

I really like all of West Hams signings- are they better than what we currently have?

AWB better defensively than Porro, Jimmy Summerville neck and neck with Werner Kulu or Johnson

Kilman better than Davies but not Mickey

Wouldn't have been against Fullkrug given Richarlison's unavailability- if we spent serious money on other priorities

In total they're much stronger, and credit to them for the ambition.

Anyway I wanted Eze, he's a game changer in a position we're light in

And by the way fck West Ham, wnkers

Where would he fit into our midfield? I’ve no idea about him as a player
He's a box 2 box midfielder, loves a curler from the edge of the box, scores goals, eye catching goals , he's also a very good dead ball player too. I'd love him here

when told Eze is supposedly unattainable you mean?

I'd much rather give the kids a chance than block their path with this level of recruitment

And yes even Ange gets it wrong sometimes
He will get it wrong at times, all coaches do.

But they should be allowed to.

As long as he gets more correct

I watch a lot of Celtic, Matt O'Reilly is head and shoulders the best player in Scotland. He'll'' be around £16m to buy. The snobbery about buying players from the SPL makes me laugh, the standard of football might be shite but some quality players can still be found up there. I'd be delighted if we got O'Reilly.
Yeah I like the look of him.

Goal scoring midfielders are so valuable and he looks capable of scoring from everywhere.

I think we've suffered here a bit, only Maddison really adds goals from midfield and he's off it.

I didn't realise they'd bought Summerville. For £25m that's a seriously good buy. They'll be good next year.

No I agree, I don't see him copping the hump.

I'd be surprised if anyone is willing/able to stump up £60m in one go though. And Parish probably knows that so the risk of losing him, even late on, is pretty slim.

It was always going to be Eze or Neto. This is the same as last summer when we tried to convince ourselves that we could get VDV and Tapsoba. Our targets this summer arent very exciting, especially when comparing them to who Paractici has targeted in previous windows.
My 'winner' rating is for the first part of your post. In terms of how exciting our transfer targets are this window, I'd put them on a par with the likes of VDV, Vicario, Werner, Dragusin, Bentancur, Kulusevski, Porro, Udogie, Bergval, Richarlison, Johnson, Solomon, Sarr, Perisic etc. Of all our signings in recent windows, only Romero and Maddison have appeared to be guaranteed upgrades to our starting XI at the time of signing. Others have either lacked experience (at least at this level), been out of form / favour, or didn't seem entirely suited to a specific role within our existing system...even if they've gone on to make a positive impact on our starting XI.

I'm more excited by highlights of Yang than I was Gil. I see more early signs of Gray and Bergval being ready to hit the ground running than I did with Sarr. I'm not convinced about Solanke, but his PL goal tally last season was 50% higher than Richarlison's best PL tally and was almost as many goals as Richarlison has scored in the past three seasons combined. Neto or Eze would add a new dynamic to our attack.

AWB is another Emerson, totally ill suited to us

Kilman is good but isn't coming here to be fourth choice and isn't as flexible as Davies

Fullkrug I thought at first would be a good option for us as a stop gap whilst Lankshear and co develop but at that price, no way. They have had their pants pulled down.

I like the little I've seen of Summerville but Neto is much better

Wasn't actually advocating we signed any of them, given our manager and his, approach. I have higher expectations, or fading hopes in reality. Why they spend more than us baffles me, given our income ans supposed aspirations. Maybe they're still spending Rice money whereas we've spent Kane. My ass.

I get it, our lack of urgency is maddening but we have no choice but to wait and see how we end up.

I think we get at least two quality additions , even if the fanbase will bicker about the degree of the quality

People were worried about West Ham when Pellegrini went there and started buying the likes of Felipe Anderson, Diop and Yarmolenko etc yet they struggled.

Rivalry to one side at least they're having a proper go. We're not benching ourselves against them, it should be the one and only scum instead, but their leadership is on another level to ours... 23 points was it last season despite the stresses of CL

Thats an opinion. What do you base that on? ☺️
I'm guessing his eyes, footballing wise, as it's as clear as day Luiz is consistently a better footballer than Onana. As for his "attitude" no idea.

As for the West Ham signings, they're good signings for West Ham, but not for us.

AWB would stylistically be a good fit as a RB for our system, as a former winger and an exceptional one on one defender. However he's not at our level and would never start ahead of Porro. I'd also prefer Garner, not that we need to sign a RB now.

Fullkrug is not mobile enough, to be effective in our system, thats before we get to his age and adapting to the PL. Kilman would be 4th choice with us. Not seen much of Summerville so no idea.

With Villa, they've not signed anyone who would get into our first 11 (imo). I'm also far from convinced they've done good business.

I think most people are disgruntled at the fact we haven't signed enough (yet) and I agree. I'd still rather wait around for our primary targets than settle for the players other clubs have signed so far.

Would love to get to that stage where we have 2 in, and bring on the bickering- no one would come here if we all agreed.

Spending 60 on 1 of them, on top of the 40 for Gray, will effectively see us stand still. We need to go again with another big 1 to genuinely improve our competitiveness.

Despite sales and a reduced wage bill, I just can't see you know who doing it
