Wouldn't have to worry about Maddison's form if we had Eze. It's hard to find better HG talent and one who is available. Knew he would end up this good and it was super smart of him to join Palace and develop there. Can Levy resist buying someone like Gibbs-White for less money instead?
I quite like Gibbs White tbh. Would rather Eze though.

I think one stand out regarding Gibbs White is his mentality, very strong character and vocal.

Not someone who will shirk under pressure.

It's just whether or not he can be good enough

I’m personally not completely convinced by him. I also always assumed he was younger, not that 24 is old but still. He wouldn’t be my choice but I know others like him.

Absolutely love his mindset and sure Ange would too.

Love the player aswell, I can always remember him coming on against us for Wolves in 2018.

At only 18 years old, he absolutely ran the show for the 30 minutes he was on and very almost inspired a 3 goal comeback for them.

Has been on my radar ever since and never once disappointed.

Would be a brilliant signing imo.

Edit: I managed to actually find a video of the performance

Olise might just be the best winger in the league, passes eye test with flying colours obviously but all his underlying stats tell the same story too.

I remember that game. IIRC he absolutely skinned Winks that night and we'd all been talking Winks up prior. Just like you, I imagined his career trajectory to have been greater than it has. Didn't he fall out with Nuno at Wolves?

Not sure actually, but the dynamics of his transfer to Forest always really confused me.

Olise isn’t a go on the outside type of winger. Comes infield virtually every time and plays from there. fullbacks providing the width for Palace. He’s a good player but didn’t think people wanted that type of player to come in and congest things. Don’t get why some people don’t think Eze is the right kind of profile but Olise is. They both play in exactly the same way on either side.

Well Eze can play the left sided midfield position, not necessarily the left wing. But anyway I don't think this constant inversion of 2 fullbacks is what we should be doing every game anyway. We should do it sometimes, and other times have the fullbacks overlap and wingers come in. So having wingers who can either go wide or come inside would be ideal.

Actually think Eze goes on the outside of the fullback more often than I’ve seen Olise do it. He’s just a more balanced dribbler whereas Olise is very deliberate in his body shape. There both very good players. Just a bit confusing why people think Olise is more the type of player we need over others

I love him as a player but where would he play for us? He isnt a winger imo and Son will be moved back to the left. He can play AM but I doubt him or Maddison would be happy being rotated.

We have a lot of work to do in the summer window and we really need a CF, WF, DM, CB and maybe even LB/RB cover. Seems like that £60mill+ could be better spent imo.
