Dream come true - I finally get to cover Tottenham Hotspur

Morning people,

It's been a long time in the making, decades in fact, but some crazy person is finally going to let me write about Tottenham Hotspur for a living. The Hertfordshire Mercury covered the club for decades and then stopped when they moved the training ground out of its patch years before my arrival at the paper.
Now the training ground is back in Mercury territory and I've finally been able to successfully argue we should be covering a club that has fans throughout Herts and Essex.

I'll hopefully be at every game, home and away, with interviews, reports, transfer stories and hopefully pieces like my old columns if I can remember how to do them! I'm already on Twitter at @AlasdairGold for anyone that wants to give me a follow. I even have a Facebook page, after my company told me I had to do one! It's here.
