This is not a kneejerk, it's a genuine question.
I've never really 'got' that Redknapp has the best intentions of the club at heart. He's a West Ham fan, born and bred. He also has links with Chelsea with Lampard there, and if the rumours that he wants to sell Modric are true, does he really have the best intentions for our development?
I'm getting a feeling of the last few months of Jol's tenure - a great manager who took us as far as he could before realising he couldn't take us any further. Difference is, Jol cared about the club - it was noticeable that he loved us and we loved him. Redknapp seems to have one eye on the England job already, and doesn't seem like he could give half a toss if we finished sixth this year (based on recent form, we'll be lucky to get that).
He's a great manager. I'm just not convinced he wants to be our great manager, and the fact that the fans have never really taken to him considering how far he's taken us speaks something.
