Does Redknapp want the best for our club?

You haven't made an argument against Harry Redknapp, except for personal attacks.

If he's only looking to improve his own position, then surely a bi-product of that is him improving Tottenham's position too? Name a professional who isn't looking to improve their reputation and standing. Spurs performing well reflects well on him as a manager. Spurs losing 5-1, reflects badly on him. That goes for every football team in the world.

In terms of him being a bad manager, it's clear that alot of the players like him. They respond well to him, and believe he's a good man manager. BAE said as much in an inteview with Talksport last week. And he isn't the sort of guy who would brown nose.

Nobody from the anti-Harry brigade has made a valid argument as to why they think he has an agenda, other than to see Spurs perform well.

Does he get every tactical decision right? No, of course not. But I don't see that he's made any glaring schoolboy errors, where a much better alternative was screaming him in the face. For example, 'he shouldn't have played Niko at CM'. We had no other options. Do people think Harry has Niko down as his 1st choice CM?

Have you been in a coma for 6 months?!

Champions League football was not expected with our squad only hoped for and was a tremendous achievement getting it, but yes let's sack the manager who got us there, obviously it had nothing to do with him.

Jol nearly got us CL with a a squad nowhere near as good.

Shame about the dodge food though

I'm not insinuating he's a mercenary bastard pirate who wants to steal our money and rape our women. I'm saying that his mind seems to be on other things and he appears to know his time is up, and that if he doesn't think we can compete, then why is it any surprise when the players aren't motivated and we have results like yesterdays?

Not purposefully destroying us, but he's not thinking at all beyond next May as anything after then will have nothing to do with him, why should he care if we're saddled with even more unshiftable deadwood on fat wages. This is why we've seen little transfer activity as Levy is reluctant in giving money to a manager that won't be here much longer.

It's in his interests to want the best for Tottenham.

Yes but those are very much short term interests, which will conflict with long term interests which Levy will be more concerned with.

Not surprised there is a clash over strategy.

Bottom line is, Harry is still our manager and whether we like it or not until that changes we are going to have to lump it, I dont rate him personally and never have but as a club we need to show some solidarity and go with what the club thinks is best, even if in our hearts and minds we think they are wrong or right.

Harry is the best manager who will come here .

With the benefit of hindsight it looks like Ramos could see Spurs were going nowhere and engineered a move away - with a fat payoff .

Jose would get pissed off with Levy before a month was out and plays boring football besides .

The likes of Owen Coyle and David Moyes can pick and choose where they go next so why should they settle for Spurs ?

Harry and Spurs are a good fit .

Levy , although I'm not always a fan , is trying to do what is best for the club and ensuring we are not over-exposed when the football bubble pops should be top of any mid-table side's board of directors priorities .

Let's get behind them .

He's definitely thinking short term, and he is definitely thinking about the England job. And England will struggle with Harry in charge because his lack of tactical acumen at the highest level coupled with a lack of exposure to the players for international managers will not produce good results.

Twice in two PL games Harry has replaced his two central midfielders. He has played 3 goalkeepers. He plays Defoe at Old Trafford, then Crouch against City, probably Adebayor and Pav at Wolves.

Obviously the lack of movement, especially out of the club, has hindered Harry's thinking, but he doesn't seem to have a clear idea of what he wants the players individually or collectively to do.

Someone just mentioned £100M!!

That was me. He's spend £99. But his net is is around £70m. He's sold off Taraabt, Bent, Gunter, Keane, Chimbonda and O'Hara for a total of about £26.5 million. On every one but the last, he has lost money for the club. To the tune of around £19 million in loses. Although the sell-on clauses made back money on Bent and should eventually make us money on Taraabt.

And people wonder why Levy has no faith in him in the market.
