Does Redknapp want the best for our club?

I think he wants the best for himself, which is getting good results for our club and later taking that England job. If he can do just that and leave on a high, I will be very happy.

I hope today's result is a wake up call of epic proportions. If you're going to mouth off to the press every day, you should deliver or the least you should do is not get fucked 1-5 at home by ANYBODY. If not you'll look like a gimp, and as I mentioned aboqve, Harry will NOT want that.

If best for our club, is winning the matches we play & finishing as high up in the league as we possibly can etc etc, then yes, Redknapp wants the best for our club.

True, but we should be aware of his track record of not giving a damn about what state he leaves his clubs in when he's finished.
Redknapp is all about here and now, long term he can't be bothered with.

Jol did similar to Redknapp (albeit on a smaller scale) - took us from underachievers to the brink of CL. Jol always seemed to have a repor with the fans though, that's the difference.

He's done very well with us, Portsmouth and West Ham. Very very well with us and Portsmouth actually.

Wake up mate. How the fuck has he done very very well for us. He's only achieved what was expected from our squad for a season, hardly miracles. There's plenty of average managers that would have done the same with our squad, Jol for one, and there's plenty of managers that would do much better than bacon face.

His highest achievements in 28 years is an FA Cup and his achievements last season with Spurs. Hardly world class.

On top of being a shit manager, he's also a horrible old man and only cares about No.1 and doesn't give a fuck about Spurs, never has.

This thread is shameful

If he didn't care then he wouldn't be talking out in the press and causing himself trouble.

It's because he knows what we need to push on that he's getting frustrated.

The anti-Harry sentiment on here is amazing.

Even before the season started there were people talking about Harry being gone if we had a bad start. As though we've just come off a terrible season. Definitely some agenda's around here. Especially as we've lost to the 2 best teams in the League, and people are reacting like we lost 5-1 to Wolves and Stoke.

Also people blaming Harry for the 2 CM's we played today, he didn't have a whole lot of choice, seeing as all the other CM's were injured/not match fit, and our best CM asked not to play! Yet somehow, this is all Harry's fault.

I don't understand how we've got to the point where people are calling for his head after 2 matches, unless they didn't like him already. Must have been hell for them seeing Harry get us 4th and 5th in the League.

Spot on. They have been looking to blame him for ages.

Brilliant answer mate. youve convinced me. :-|

I'm not wasting time trying to convince anyone. If people can't see whats right in front of their nose then that's their problem, and no amount of explaining will change their view because they're either thick or deluded.

Of course he does it's his reputation and achievement in the game plus he will never get another chance like the one he has at the moment.

Next stupid question please, this has just been created to amuse the Harry bashers.

I agree with everything you have said there Mate, This is the view that I have, Any Manager worth his salt would of done exactly the same as Redknapp, His agenda is for himself and is as much a mercenary as the players are Imo.

I think Danny Levy needs to get rid now and bring in a manager that can fullfill our ambitions, Ancelotti with Wilkins as no.2 would be Ideal Imo.

I can not see how Redknapp can go on with us, There seems to be a growing divide between the two on transfers and I think Levy is starting to see Redknapp for what he is. The one thing I have noticed with redknapp since he has been at Spurs is that it is always "him and us" and that alone tells me he is in it for No.1!

Champions League football was not expected with our squad only hoped for and was a tremendous achievement getting it, but yes let's sack the manager who got us there, obviously it had nothing to do with him.

Well, lets hope he starts fucking showing it then shall we.

You haven't made an argument against Harry Redknapp, except for personal attacks.

If he's only looking to improve his own position, then surely a bi-product of that is him improving Tottenham's position too? Name a professional who isn't looking to improve their reputation and standing. Spurs performing well reflects well on him as a manager. Spurs losing 5-1, reflects badly on him. That goes for every football team in the world.

In terms of him being a bad manager, it's clear that alot of the players like him. They respond well to him, and believe he's a good man manager. BAE said as much in an inteview with Talksport last week. And he isn't the sort of guy who would brown nose.

Nobody from the anti-Harry brigade has made a valid argument as to why they think he has an agenda, other than to see Spurs perform well.

Does he get every tactical decision right? No, of course not. But I don't see that he's made any glaring schoolboy errors, where a much better alternative was screaming him in the face. For example, 'he shouldn't have played Niko at CM'. We had no other options. Do people think Harry has Niko down as his 1st choice CM?
