Inter Milan 'will not play' Wesley Sneijder during contract talks
Inter Milan sporting manager Marco Branca has suggested midfielder Wesley Sneijder will not be picked until he agrees an "adjusted" contract.
The 28-year-old Dutchman, sidelined after suffering a minor injury in September, has been linked with a move in the January transfer window.
"We're patient and calm as we wait for the situation to evolve," said Branca.
Forgotten man Sneijder?

Inter Milan under Andrea Stramaccioni have become serious Serie A title challengers to Juventus in Sneijder's absence. They have also progressed to the knockout stage of the Europa League
Sneijder was linked with a switch to Manchester United in 2011, with the player claiming "unofficial talks".
"The situation with Wes, who is part of the history of this club and a player we all care about, is that we've been discussing a possible - and for us necessary - adjustment to his contract for a while," added Branca in an interview published on Inter's website.
"We want to give the player and his entourage all the time they need to consider the terms of our proposal carefully, so the coach and the club have decided not to use the player in this period until things are clearer."
The Netherlands international joined Inter in July 2009, having previously played for Ajax and Real Madrid.

Give me anyone that can dangle a defender or two, pick out a pass, and isn't older than 28.

2 stupid things about this thread. First is thinking that we could actually sign Sneijder and second is asking do we need him! Have you seen out midfield lately?

Any 2 of those please and get rid of porkchop and dempsey
Yeh i meant to say that if we don't sign one of those players in Jan then we really are pathetic.

Those are all players who are realistically available for a price which must be within our budget.

I'd prefer VDV to Sneijder.

In all seriousness though, if Sneijder is available there will be a lot of clubs in front of us who will be willing to offer him mega money. PSG, City, Chelsea, Utd all would be in for him.

In reality though Isco and Willian will be looking for moves to bigger clubs, i am sure they have agents that will push for big wages, both ships have sailed, as for Gotze, well i am staggered that people think we could get him, Dortmund are performing well in the CL and the last few seasons have a good record at domstic level, he is also be beyond us as a signing..

Exactly, can't believe some people actually believes it would be possible for us to get Götze.
He is one of THE star players at Dortmund, a Dortmund team which has won the Bundesliga the last 2 years, and who will end first in their CL group, which is probably the hardest group in this years CL, ahead of Ajax, Man City and Real Madrid.

Seriously, us getting Götze is as likely as us getting Messi and Christiano in the same transfer window.
