Good point, we have some prize idiots who don't know when to stop. It was a bad day for all of us and in my opinion it at least shows that BAE does care.

Does bhighlight the fact that we are NOT consisent enough to get top 4. They scored in the 2nd minute and we could not really test them properly for the entirety of the game, that's not good enough

Why do we need another Left Back? Sure Ekotto doesnt run at defenders but he is the best left back we have had in years

u dont know the magnitude of what the fan said, i agree some ofthem are unthoughtful pricks. Could have even been a racist comment, u never know.

best keep opinions to yourself until you know the full story.. i only just found out about this on motd.

Bloody hell. It seems that you all were waiting for an excuse to crucify BAE! Judged, tried and executed before you even know the facts! Its times like these I am glad we are doing poorly so it will shut some of you up!

Obviously Benny should have kept his cool and ignored the probable moron who was abusing him but I can understand why he reacted badly. We do have some grade A tossers who I'll loosely term 'fans'.

The blokes obviously a tosser and a little slap from Benny would hopefully do him some good.

For this grade A prick to then make a statement about 1 of his own teams players sums him up.

If you mouth off to someone dont be suprised If they bite back a little!

Unless he hurt the guy badly, racially abused him etc it does seem unbelievable that you'd potentially cause a major problem within his own club.

It may be pre-judgmental but you can't help but guess the guy was a complete tosser, throwing his toys out of the pram and abusing the nearest player. So many fucktards around.

Agreed - I am surrounded by them in my new season ticket seat - miserable bunch of 'fans' hurling abuse (and really crude language) at all the players from the moment we conceded the goal. BAE bore the brunt and must have been able to hear it. Probably this tw*t was the final straw.

Where is your new ST Midostouch?

In the Upper Shelf we do have a high population of morons who turn out every week to abuse the latest hate figure - really gets me down.

Escapism basically, they need someone to vent their anger out on.

From that magnificent goal against Liverpool, BAE's season is increasingly turning into a car wreck. Sloppiness again today after a shocking half of football against Everton (arguably as bad as Gilberto's debut, if we're honest) and now this controversy.

It strikes me there's got to be something beyond football distracting him. We certainly can't rely on the guy if this continues. A worry.

did gomes get into a verbal fight during the game with a fan?

No. Gomes didn't say anything back.

Someone in the Paxton stood up shouting something at him, don't know what, but Gomes just starred the guy out, then turned round and did it again twice

 I saw that.

Do we know, that the 'fan', was actually a Tottenham fan? Could of been a Wolves fan, on a wind up.

While I do not condone personal abuse at any of our players they are not above criticism or being yelled at when they are not doing their jobs. There is no excuse for trying to strangle a supporter. Was it OK when Cantona did his famous drop kick or for that matter was it worse when Ghaly threw down his shirt ? Was it then ok that our " supporters " did what they did when he was coming on as sub ? Is all the homophobic abuse thrown at Campbell ok ? There are times when supporters cross the line and I have no idea if this was one of them.
What concerns me is that BAE's form is rapidly deteriorating and we have no other real options for that position. If his ego is hurt I don't feel that sorry for him because I don't feel he is 100% dedicated to the cause.

Wasn't is Benny that said in an interview that he only became a footballer because his brother said he could make a good wage in it? Or did I imagine that interview?

he said along the lines of when away from playing and training he isn't really interested in watching other games on tv etc.
