Tottenham Hotspur is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Digital Operations professional to fill an exciting, challenging and varied role of Digital Operations Manager . Reporting to the Head of Marketing you will be responsible for the technical development, optimisation and day to day management of the Club’s key digital platforms including tottenhamhotspur.com, localised international websites, apps, online video and other key digital partner relationships ensuring that they deliver a great user experience for the Club’s global fanbase whilst effectively supporting the Club’s content, fan engagement and commercial strategies. This key role will require close collaboration with a number of departments, partners and agencies to meet the evolving needs of the business and keeping up with the fast-paced digital landscape aiming to ensure our digital platforms are best in class.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performance management and development of the Club’s websitewww.tottenhamhotspur.com and CMS. This would include editing of HTML and CSS of the website Working closely with Marketing and supporting other Club departments when required including commercial partnerships, content, ticketing, membership and retail. Identifying market innovation, implementing developments into website and other digital platforms. Project managing improvements/bug fixes to the website and other digital platforms as well as project managing the delivery of larger digital projects. Managing the site to ensure UX, design and information architecture and SEO are aligned to industry best practice.
  • Provide technical support to Communications and Marketing teams along with managing operations related to coverage of live events.
  • Identification and creation of digital trends, opportunities and developments by which the Club can improve its digital offering Internal and external digital “champion “ ensuring the business is aware of market developments Internal conduit for all digital requirements including key interaction with a number of departments Management of 3rd party agencies and suppliers / SaaS suppliers including hosting, digital agency, video, analytics, statistics, e-mail marketing and advertising. Reporting on site traffic using Google Analytics.Management and development of Digital Marketing Executive Budgetary management and control for Digital Operations budget
Requirements for the role

This role requires an individual with a passion and demonstrable knowledge of the digital landscape with a strong level of technical ability. You must have a minimum of five years professional experience in a digital environment ideally managing large scale, media rich websites and mobile apps/platforms.

  • Educated to degree level Good Technical knowledge / understanding (e.g. hosting infrastructure, coding) Highly numerate with strong problem solving skills Experience of working within a multi-department / function environment Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills at all levels Exceptional organisational skills Experience of managing people Flexible attitude to working hours Self-starter, driven, thorough, flexible and diligent Ability to thrive in a high tempo environment and work well under pressure.
