It might be the guy at Penarol in Argentina.

Abel Hernandez is a nice prospect too, but going through injury problems at the moment at Palermo. They do have some exciting youngsters in Uruguay, attackers at least.

GUILLEM SAYS: Forlan's agent is desperately trying to get him out of Atletico Madrid; it is a club in crisis with a squad in decline and manager in Quique Sánchez Flores who, it has been suggested, could be sacked this season before he walks away. Anyway, Forlan says he has had enough of Atletico Madrid and that he doesn't owe them anything. He is a cultural and clever guy so he'd welcome the chance to experience another country but as yet only Juventus have shown any interest in him. The trouble is that Juventus are also trying to get Luis Fabiano, so if it doesn't happen now it may happen in the summer.

According to Sky website we are making a late bid to sign him. To me he would be the ideal January signing and if we have to pay over the top for his salary package that would be compensated by a much lower transfer fee than some of the other names. At his age probably a 2 year contract max and that could head off potential discontent among other players. Still world class as he showed last summer. Klinsmann effect maybe.
Would be a great signing but can we persuade him ?
Otherwise can't see any of the hot strikers coming in today . As usual we are stumbling through the window and maybe we can pick up another Manure reject on loan .
Pav needs to step up as he is the only one who could play up front on his own. Or VDV has to take one of the wide MF positions so we can revert to 4-4-2

Fuck sake

Sell Crouch

wishful thinking , who on earth would buy a piss weak striker with a goal return of 1 from 20 odd premier league appearances this season
(and that goal was a clearance that rebounded of him into the net)

apart from harry !

I hope they don't go offering silly money for this guy, He's the bottom of the barrel.

The fact that we apparently offered 38Million today for aguero, if true is such a joke, we could have got saurez for £25mil.. This has been a complete farce.

Now were stuck with Crappy Crouch, A tiny arse Defoe who can't seem to do jack shit so far this season, and PAV who didn't even appear in the whole team last league game, 'Because he's head wasn't in the right place'. triffic, we really need him playing half hearted for us the rest of the season don't we.. Shit!!

suarez wouldn't have fit with how we play... it's not just 'he's a striker so we should buy him'. non championship manager football has a little more nuance.
