Some discussion of this in the main thread, with a few people noting that the deadline doesn't seem to have happened (i.e. they could still buy the tickets after it had passed). I don't know whether this site's membership is representative of the wider supporter base, but I thought it would be interesting to see anyway.

Wasn’t going to but the three of us ended up renewing in the end. This coming season will definitely be a suck it and see with regards to capacity and what the ‘match experience’ will be like. We’ve requested a move as well so we’ll see what happens on that front. Think it’s quite a way off before it’s back to full capacity.

Genuinely interested to know why a season ticket holder would leave it until after the deadline to decide to renew!

I don't think anyone sought to do that, just had decided not to renew and then, for whatever reason, logged into their account and saw it was still there. This reasonably leads to speculation that renewal rates weren't great...

I renewed, I’m fortunate enough to have had a secure job through all of this chaos and the ‘refund’ covered my deposit. Saying that I can understand how and why some people will have no choice but to give up their ticket due to redundancies as a result of the pandemic.

I’m not overjoyed with the brand of football being played in the second half of last season but naively hopeful that it’s the rough building blocks towards future success.

Was on the waiting list for 15 years before the move to Wembley opened up enough spaces for me to get a ST so I’m not going to give it up at the first sign of the team underperforming.

Nothing about those of us on the waiting list being offered the chance of one yet.

I imagine they'll sort moves out first and then start working down the list. At least the top 8 people are going to be happy by the looks of it!

Had been a season ticket holder since 1980. Haven’t renewed but was interested to see if I was blocked from doing so yesterday. I was not. I haven’t changed my mind.

It’s nothing to do with the first sign of underperforming. Man I’ve seen plenty of those over the years and kept renewing. So I can’t be accused of that.

It’s fairly simple. I’ve seen a fair amount of the negative impact this pandemic has had. Friends losing their jobs, or more importantly losing loved ones. For me it’s been a reset. What’s more important closer to home. I’m 51 so hardly ancient although I probably sound it ?. I just don’t like the way the game has changed; it’s all about money especially for the players. I’m not criticising it... it’s just what its become. The irony of the shiny new stadium to attract more numbers...it just feels artificial and plastic to me. It’s only egos now whether it’s the players or owners. I so miss the raw passion of WHL. I haven’t enjoyed going for 2 years now other than to see cousins and uncles. A spurs family of season ticket holders started by my grandfather since 1930s. My uncle who’s been a season ticket holder since 1963 and a fanatic also dropped out...only found out yesterday and was shocked.

It’s not anger, it’s not a protest. I love Spurs. Always will. I’ll continue to watch. Just realised I didn’t miss match day at the Lane. Actually breaks my heart to just write that. My grandfather is probably shedding a tear.

I have similar feelings. My dad and I pretty much decided pre-Covid that we weren't going to renew the ticket we've shared for the last 10 (I think) seasons. I love Tottenham Hotspur, I think José's great (now he's Spurs manager!) and believe he will bring success in the form of trophies over the next couple of seasons. But, like you, I haven't really enjoyed going for quite a while now for a number of (non-football) reasons and we just decided that it was time to let someone else have a go.

On the plus side, we're both going to buy memberships when things are "back to normal" and hopefully get to many more games together than we've been able to previously.

Renewed and waiting to be moved from North to South. Think they oversold the South Stand, it’s been full of people who want to experience the atmosphere but don’t sing and don’t like standing up

My partner had a ticket for about 15 years but didn't renew this time. I think he had fallen out of love a bit since the move to the new stadium and no longer having the same group of people around him and never knowing who was going to be next to him as his neighbours in the south stand seem to sell a lot of their tickets on. Plus health wise he is higher risk but wouldn't be eligible for deferring.

Just for know, how much it coast? I think it depends on the seat, doesn't it? Have you some benefits for buying a season ticket? I must say, I'm rather envious of you, guys. If I lived there, I'd surely buy it. Been in London last July (2019) and I couldn't visit the new stadium. So sad.

I managed to hold out until now and then told the Mrs it is still available. She said "Do it" so here I am again.

Renewed reluctantly. Don’t like committing to something and being offered nothing concrete in return but then I am old and this is the way of the money grabbing sports franchises. Not sure if I will go to a game because of the distance travelled, the seat being so high up that I need to use the lift but there will be severe restrictions on this now. Am at risk as I take immunosuppressants etc., but don’t qualify for any deferral etc. Anyway I basically used my credit to renew and will see how it all pans out. Meanwhile will play more golf at a club that has done its level best to be fair with all its members. It’s heaLthy, Covid safe and I have a large group of mates to enjoy the banter with

At the back of my mind is of course the feeling we won’t be back in grounds before Spring as confirmed cases are on the rise and today the first figure over over 1,000 since June. The trend is not good
