The Club have complained about it. In my opinion, rightly so.

All this does is let people call me a yid because I'm jewish and when called out on it they can just say it's because I support Spurs. Like they've done for years. But now the dictionary validates it for them.

I know a lot of people will say it's a good thing but I doubt many of them will be Jewish non Spurs fans. I don't want to make this political, but it feels like a lot of those same people who are happy with this wanted the country to be run by a political party with an admitted anti-semitism problem, so when I hear "we call ourself yids because we're standing together with the Jews" etc. it sounds like nonsense, as when many of you had the chance to show that solidarity in a way that really mattered, you didn't.

There it is then. Can't be seen as racist now, can it?
Only if used in a derogatory way but that should always be the case with racism
Anyone with any bit of intelligence should tell the difference between it being used to offend and our fans using it in support of ourselves

We need to hear from more Jewish Spurs fans on this one.

I heard Simeon from the we r Tottenham fan TV YouTube channel, saying something on BBc London, that sounded opposite.

We need to hear from more fans so we get this one right.

Most non Jewish fans want to get it right, I honestly believe that.

We want to shout Y** Army, but only if you want us to.

That what I'd believe mostly the proper spurs non jewish fans would likely say.

The Club conducted a survey on the use of the word "yid" earlier this season and published the results not long ago. I haven't got the figures to hand but if I remember correctly it showed that a significant number of Jewish fans did not like the chant. I think it was something like 40% from memory but I'm sure someone will be along to correct that figure if it's wrong.
