I reckon it was, supposedly we were following him for a long time, I just think we thought the value would be more around the €40 million mark so when it started going up to €50 million plus we stepped back. Also maybe he got his head turned by BM and we thought we'd loose out regardless. The fact he came to the training ground and Ange supposedly talked to means we must have liked him a fair amount.

Probably true mate, think I'm just starting to get dissapointed that apart from Gray we haven't put in any official bids for our rumored big targets. Season starting in a few weeks and no pre season training to get used to Angies system.
Feels like other seasons when we sit and wait to long then we have to adjust to lesser targets. Not that Vicario and VDV were.
