Good luck to him, was fantastic at one point for us

But I really worry moving up to Merseyside where they live & breathe footy & that Everton crowd can get on your back pretty quickly

Add that to a pretty inexperienced manager and a team playing poorly in a relegation dogfight and it’s potentially a recipe for disaster!

Personally think that if all fit and motivated, even with an inexperienced manager, Everton with Dele have a very good starting eleven.

If he wants to improve & develop his game, he’s got half a chance with Lampard. For all his faults, by all accounts he worked ridiculously hard to become the best he could.

Time will tell if Dele has a similar hunger to succeed.

Still utterly confused by what the deal entails, and what's to stop Everton selling him before he plays twenty games

We were wondering that because Everton were maxed out on loans, maybe we structured this deal in such a way that if he doesn't trigger the payment clauses that we can just take him back after a year or whatever. I've never heard of a permanent transfer with zero upfront fee.

Dele, you were the best young player in the world at one point. Now you’re joining Everton for a relegation battle when this should be the prime of your career.

oh what could have been…

I’m sure Levy covered that base. Maybe a massive sell-on clause, 100% within 20 games, 98% within 30 games and so on.
He won’t allow Everton to ‘flip’ a sale. Surely….

Yep, it's so strange. As I say I would love to know the details. Because I just don't see how it works

Yep, I am 100 percent that Levy isn't giving Dele away. What you suggest is the best way round I've read.??

MK Dons are due some of the fee as well apparently. they've got x% of 0 now.
Aha, good point. So if Everton flipped him and we got say 90 plus percent via a sell on clause, I wonder if their lawyers would get interested.
I don't expect Everton to flip him BTW, but presumably it's a possibility
Looks like MK Dons have maybe been screwed over here, I guess their lawyers are interested anyway over the free deal. But presumably our lawyers are happy etc
Maybe MK get some of the money if the 10m is activated etc

If he's forgotten what brought him fame and success, Lampard id the perfect teacher to remind him how to get behind defenses to get surprise goals.

Looks to me like we have been shafted in this deal. Can anyone see him getting 20 appearances for Everton?

Seems like we could have been shafted either way. Since there were fewer than 20 games left in the season, what would have happened if he set the league on fire and was sold for a good fee in the summer?
