Maybe Poch doesn't want Mahrez.

Yeah, entirety possible. But I do, so there :p. What does he know anyway? ;):D.

Actually, I’m sure there was some tenuous ITK regarding him at some point ( although I may have made that up to cheer myself up).

Starting to do the rounds on twitter now.

Goal Brasil are reporting that we're willing to pay up to 44 million for him.

I've not seen Neres play so I can't really comment but I was hoping we'd push for Kluivert more than Neres. What do I know though.
I would love us to chuck £100m at Ajax for Neres, De Ligt and Kluivert!

But alas, real life isn't Football Manager.

I could give you tonnes of attacking failures to match the examples you've given starting with Vincent Janssen, Memphis Depay, Bryan Ruiz, Ryan Babel, Luuk De Jong, Ricky Van Wolfswinkel, Jozy Altidore...

Marc was saying that he is PL ready and doing well in the Eredivisie is no measure of that.

I dont disagree with you dude, was merely supporting the idea that there examples either way.

Neres would be a gamble for sure but he might also take to the prem the same way Sanchez has.

Not what we need. We need someone who can come in and make an impact immediately.

Malcom much more likely to.do this. Neres way too raw. Would take him a couple more seasons of development at least. We can't wait that long.
I think people need to temper their expectations with Malcom a little, he will not come in and make an instant impact. He is also still very raw and culpable of over running the ball. He is certainly further along his development then Neres but he’s not going to come along and straight away change our attack.

I accept they go either way but Marc was saying PL ready.

Judging from the clips of the 2 players, Neres is not nearest to Malcom; he is not even nearer. I just want Malcom of the two.

Janssen - Feyenoord
Depay - PSV
Ruiz - Twente
De Jong - Twente
Van Wolfswinkel - Utrecht
Altidore - AZ

I know some ex Ajax players haven't covered themselves in glory in the English leagues either (Babel) but most of the bigger signings from their academy have done well.

Bergkamp, Suarez, our three (four incl DS), Rafa, Overmaars, Pienaar etc.

I think Ajax's hit rate bucks the trend.

He's not the finished article, but I think he would make an immediate difference. We don't have a player like him at the moment.
