Hmm, our current total is 8 managers in 10 years isn't it? Levy could be going for 10 in 10. Okay, I'll take Moyes on the basis that it's 10 in 10. Number 10 will the The One!

I think maybe a couple of years ago i would have been all for him as boss but not now just thinking how much Everton have improved since he left them and the style of football he plays but knowing our penny pinching chairman i think we will be intrested.

All this talk of number 10, I think we should go for David Cameron.
Not really.

No. No. And no again. Common sense tells me this will not happen.

If it does though ENIC might as well scrap the new stadium as they won't fill it.....but then he'd probably be gone by the time it's built so it won't make any difference......

He did an excellent job at Everton.... but they needed an Martinez to take them to the next level (with the help of 2 key loanees though, so let's see how next season turns out for them).

Was it really such an excellent job at Everton though?

Everton Were fucking boring. FACT.

He's just a glorified Allardyce and I'd be utterly fucking mortified if we went for him.
Let Newcastle or villa have him.

Plenty to go around... Moyes to Newcastle, LVG or any reputable World Cup manager to Spurs and Sherwood to... Oh frak, who cares?

With a limited budget he made Everton into solid top club (not a top-4 club I know); a club on Spurs' level with less of a budget.
There is a good reason why ManU and Fergie wanted him as their new manager. But then again his ego seem to have gotten in his way when he sacked the whole ManU coaching staff, to make his mark as the boss.
Not saying he's my man for the job, far from it. But then again, there may not be that many options after all who're ready to work under Levy & co.

The limited budget is over stated. Did you not notice Fellaini cost £15m -that was the same as our record transfer until last summer.
They had more money generally to spend than the 13 teams below them year I year.

United didn't pick him for his ability. The picked him because he would stay long term.

I may be stupid (stop giggling in the back) but can't get my head around this statement....sorry. Are you saying that they didn't care about how good he was but that he wouldn't leave them?

it's a lousy, 2 dimensional article. In reality, the future for David Moyes is probably fairly predictable. He'll find a PL club with modest expectations or an ambitious Championship club, where he can expect to be given 2 - 3 years to build a team in his own image, with a limited transfer budget, and he'll probably make a pretty good job of it.

It won't be at Spurs, but there are plenty of other clubs that would have him.

I admire your certainty but every major bookmaker has him as second favourite. I suspect he is a serious back up if stronger preferences fall through.
Not saying I would welcome it. I would go 1. Pochettino. 2. Benitez. 3. Laudrup.

Andy Johnson £10m, Yakubu £10m, Bilyaledtinov £9m, few others circa £7m.
They were hardly paupers.

I never enjoyed Everton matches at the Lane, found him a defensive-minded coach and for that reason alone he was doomed to fail at United.

He couldn't beat the top 4 at Everton or United and the last thing we need is someone who cannot contend against the big teams but generally does ok against the rest. That's no different to what we've got.
