Danny Rose needs to get his shit together. He didn't really he wanted to stick around before his loan, now the uncertainty with his future and suddenly he wants to play for us again? I'm all for him and Davies together one more year since we won't be spending on another LB with all our other positions to fill but honestly Danny, either commit to giving it your all or stay in the north.

Yeah, I'm sure he wants to stay one more year to "play one last time for the fans" and not to pick up a wage he wont get elsewhere for the next 12 months.

I used to love Rose, but now I honestly forgot he was still on our books. Good player on his day, shame that day was a long time ago (and he cannot keep his bloody mouth shut)

If he got his shit together he’d be a handy player to have around. Would save us having to invest in that area this year.

He's just said in an ideal world he'd love to play for Spurs one more time so he could say good bye to the fans who have stuck by him all through the years even though, as he admits, he has said the odd thing that could have led to us turning on him. Is there really any problem with that? Seems like a nice thing to say to me.

load of bollocks in the comments. Rose has served us well. Has/ has had massive issues to deal with from a health perspective.
Is he a flawed human - like all humans, absolutely.
But very little of what he has said over the years is wrong....although giving an interview to the bloody Sun was infuriating....

An excellent interview.

The racism he's encountered is shocking and horrendous to see, but he's not wrong about upper management at a lot of clubs. Why does a black manager have to start down the totem pole while someone like Frank Lampard took 2 years to get to manage Chelsea? It's privilege at its finest.

I hope when Danny retires the team brings him back and gives him a shot in coaching if he wants it.

This.

A player that is actually human. Never have I questioned his commitment on the pitch (even if he was "%&"% at the end).

I don't understand why being a boring robot saying exactly the same as every other player is how a player "gets his "%"% together".

That said I don't see how he ever plays for us again. Massive credit to him if he can actually get fit and fight his way back though.

Totally agree, same as Assou-Ekotto. I appreciate a player that’s honest and not brain washed to just say the club script. As long as its not to the detriment of the club or the team.

And I admire the way he admitted the mental health issues

Always had time for Danny Rose, I love a player who bucks the trend and is his own man, regardless of how some people seem to feel he should conduct himself.

Danny Blanchflower was just like that, spoke his mind as he saw fit.

Personally, I'd love for Rose to have a last hurrah for us so those of us who appreciated him through his time with us can give him the send off he deserves.

Shame that the back 4 of Walker and Rose flanking a dominant Vertonghen and Alderweireld, is nothing more than a distant memory.

Age will do that.

Of those four, only Walker is still performing at his peak, although Alderweireld can use his knowledge to compensate for his loss of pace, in a manner that is more difficult for a fullback.
