Why wouldn't you give money if you had the financial resources of a top footballer? It's a very nice gesture and should be one of many given by other footballers, entertainers, celebrities and generally wealthy people IMO. Well done to Danny Rose in any case and I'm sure a lot of other donations have gone under the radar.

Good on him. He’s a good man who speaks out for the betterment of the game but sometimes overdid it. Injury’s have hampered his career

It still took heart for him to donate such an amount he didn't have to do that and I'm pretty sure his donation didn't come with a condition to tell the world.
Footballers are in a no win situation imo they have earned every penny they get they have the talent worked hard throughout their lifes perfecting their skills trained moved their families etc many have done unbelievable things I know for example Kanu built a hospital in Nigeria and set up a football foundation even the maligned Adebayor has done great things in Africa and other across the world CR7 our own Son has done wonderful things outside of football for people.

COVID-19 can't be blamed on the players its ridiculous they will also lose people they know to this Virus.

Compare him in behaviour and attitude to Walker and it's so different. Lovely down to earth chap he is; speaks his mind and is a nice guy.
