“We have to get rid of this obsession in England of spending money. It just doesn’t happen overseas”

Don’t know whether to laugh or not actually be surprised by this line from Levy

Hopefully there’ll be an epic pile in where people slate levy for not spending and then the bsodl will get involved talking about investment that’s already happened and the stadium. Then @[email protected] will come along and silently neg anyone who speaks favourably of Levy.

Eventually A&C will wade in on whoever’s side is losing and find new ând exciting ways of insulting the biggest melts.

let the fun begin!

Liverpool have net spent £70m under klopp. Look at Leicester. Today it really is much more about getting the right player at the right place for how you want to play. United have spent a fortune and are still in the mud. Spending hugely is simply no guarantee.

Not to mention that some seem to think money just disappear if it isn't spent in a window.

The day Levy and co. are draining the club of money like the Glazers I will start complainig. So far they are not. And I'm not going to complain about owners not spending their own money on the team (which I think is a bad thing - I wish clubs only spent their own generated money as a principle).

Yes the PL are the heavy hitters but to say it doesn't happen is very strange

€773m of la Ligas spending came from 3 clubs. They spent more than the other 17 clubs combined!!

In the bundesliga just under half by 3 clubs.

Série A and EPL is far more spread out - particularly EPL. So he’s not wrong to suggest that not everywhere has the same culture of spending. Italy andEngland quite extreme in that regard.

I get what you're saying, but I would imagine the spending in Liga will start to spread out more in the next few years, especially since they are now collectively negotiating TV rights. Sevilla for example were in the top 10 spenders last year

Levy is currently (& silently) buying up half of N17 land and property. #trueStory

Wouldn’t be surprised if he turned it into exactly what Kroenke is doing with Rams stadium. With stadium at centre surrounded by hotel and leisure complex. Love to fast forward and see Tottenham in 20 years. I think that really is the master plan.

How much is this book? Looks interesting and may buy one but then I look on the site and I have to register my interest with no price. Basically is it a book where if i have to ask the price beforehand it means I cant afford it?

A bit like going into the Lamborghini showroom and asking for the price...

A 3 acre cannabis factory!

“ a process he believes totalled around 80 different property transactions, including one incident in which a warehouse under Tottenham’s ownership was broken into and turned into a drugs factory.

“We discovered it had been bolted shut from the inside and when we finally got in we found three acres of cannabis growing in there,” explains Levy. “We obviously had to call the police. The next thing we knew we were victims of a revenge attack when the water pipes on the properties we owned down the High Road were cut, which flooded them all.”
