Gazza and VDV, but thinking about it they were probably too good for this category of player.

So I'll go for Erik the Viking. Decent keeper, but not that good really. We all bloody loved him though.

Pat Van Den Hauwe is another good shout. Some legendary fouls :D.

Cult heroes. Tough one!

Contrary to what Adebayor said, I'd say that as a fan base we embrace all manner of not-quite-top-grade-but-loveable-nonetheless footballers!

I fucking hated Doherty but I did buy the 'Ginger Pele' T-Shirt as it was just too funny - so I guess he was one!

For me, over the years, the list goes something like Ruel Fox, Freund, Allan Nielsen, Taricco, Robbo, Mido, Assou-Ekotto and Pav.

No one since, but Holtby came close.
