I can't recall a single conversation where Ange has set one objective.

That he wins a Trophy in his second season is fact, but I have never heard him set that as an objective here, I have heard him say winning a Cup or finishing top four isn't an achievement though in the long term.

Saying things like this removes responsibility from the results he presides over.

I can't say that we look any more solid, robust or different than last season when you actually look at our overall results.

I am all for buying youth and players for the future, but we are full of them now, we need a leader of the team not a prospect that will, maybe, could be good.
He is on record saying that he usually wins trophies in his 2nd year at a club. Appreciate that you might be in Florida mate but dunno how you missed that??

Just back. Disgraceful performance. Tactics are the same every game, it’s so predictable.

Maddison is a hugely talented player but he’s not fitting what we need right now. Change tactics or bench him

I think a description of the past is not a prediction for the future
I think it is more about Ange setting out his expectations rather than predicting the future to be honest with you.

And we are a fucking mid-table team right now. As someone before said, replacing experienced players like Hojbjerg with kids is just madness.

He was agreeing with his record, not what he would achieve this season.

As a season ticket holder of thirty odd years, I don't have to be in England for some of the year (i actually live part time in Denver not Florida) but I do know what he has said.

I had many years in FL and kept my SC handle.
👌 👍

Nice FS - I’m jealous!!

But as I mentioned above, I think that was Ange stating his expectations for any club he manages. He expects to be winning and at the minute, we are well off it.

The manager expecting success now while the board is planning for a 3 year project is not going to end well.

But sure, we have all been here before when Conte had his meltdown. It’s just the same story all over sgain.

The away performances are generally shocking ( besides Man Utd) we go behind before we start to play or just lack any ideas how to break down a low block.
I know nothing is a sure thing in football beside Spurs letting you down time and time again.

Terrible performance and just nothing from anyone, giving the ball away at the back today was just ridiculous. Anyway, Man City reserves next. Let's hope we get up for that.

We are heading for a sixteen game losing season, having played the likes of Leicester, Everton, Brentford, Newcastle, Brighton, West Ham, Woolwich, United and Palace. All but Brighton and Woolwich could be considered well above average teams with good squads.

We have yet to play Scouse, City, Chelsea and Villa home and away.

The future is looking bleak to be fair.

I watched Ange's post match interviews on our own website and the three main media outlets, and today's one like all the other interviews when we lose appear to be in his opinion the result of indiscipline, poor defending, lack of application (Brighton game) or all three.

This is his team now, not saying the rebuilding is finished but as a whole it's his team.

Time will tell, and I am yet to be convinced that as nice on the eye Ange's style of football is, whether it is fit for purpose at the very highest level of the game.

Didn't we "move on" after the Brighton game?

Playing against teams in the EL give a very false sense that we are a good side.

From the BBC: "Stand-in captain Maddison lasted just 62 minutes at Selhurst Park in a game where his side lacked leadership and drive on the pitch as they succumbed to a third away loss in five"

There are no leaders on the pitch to steer the youngsters and demand more form the seniors.

I watched Palace at Forest last week and they were gash, we made them look like we were playing City or Scouse.
I read that, Romero was the captain wasn't he?

I watched our shower of shit followed by the Arse v Liverpool match. The difference in quality is astounding.

The issue with the Manager and squad is that we need major uplifting in both.
We all know the issues with Ange, he fits the narrative the club wants at the minute, but he ain't the man for tomorrow.
Our squad at the minute could all being upgraded. Vicario, Maddison, Werner, and Richarlison. We need another option for Udoige, and to be honest Solanke the jury is still out for me. I want to see goals not link up play, and our midfield needs more bite and control.
This season was always going to one with ups and downs, but our away performances have been atrocious under Ange.

We’re 4 points ahead of Leicester. That’s how bad we are.

It’s only 9 games in, this means very little.

We’re also only 5 points off Arsenal for instance. Two home games coming up while they go to Newcastle and Chelsea. Still early, positions change quickly.

Always not usually.
Time to question him for not doing that here is end of the season if and only if he doesn't do that here.
Personally with our team I am not sure we can achieve that this year but it's possible I guess.

We'll probably know that well before the end of the season, though. By Xmas, if things go really badly...

Said when I started the team for Palace thread that we'd need Sarr's energy off the ball, as they'd turn it into a real battle.

Starting Maddison and Kulusevski dont cut it in these physical away games.

Disappointed that Ange didnt learn after the Brighton debacle.

Now we still might of lost but at least we'd see a better effort than that.

What I find odd is that its so obvious what type of game this will be but its like none of our preparation takes these things into account

We just play one way, regardless of the oppositiion, conditiions or environment.

These results are going to keep happening if things stay the same.

On paper we’re at least twice the team Palace are, yet we manage to play crap and lose in a familiarly inconstant manner. It’s not just his tactical inflexibility at times, it’s his inability to properly motivate a team of good players to beat an inferior side that is most obvious to me. Sadly I just don’t see him be successful at Spurs the way things are going. Levy must be sniffing around and making enquiries about his replacement already. Transfer windows usually give us a good indication of what’s to come.
