Think you’re right, Biss more a traditional 6 whereas Bentancur better on the ball but leaves us more open defensively.Only diiference is its Bissouma at base instead of Bentancur
I get the feeling Biss is the better true six (when he's at it)
Bentancur a better user of the ball, maybe better beside a conventional six, or just ahead
Or make a last minute reservation to a lunch spot and bank the credit for when Spurs are on Sky. You got to play the long game. For some reason I thought we were the 2pm kick off on Sky.
Told the missus not to make plans. Better go hide in the back bedroom and find a stream......
I think most people were close to this level for Edwards - kind of a get your bum off the seat kind of player - combined with Poch comparing him to Messi.Who was the last academy lad we were this excited about seeing? It's a tremendous feeling. Kane obviously the best but there was this air of novelty and surprise about how good he was, whereas Mikey feels like seeing the start of a star.
It definitely didn’t bomb against West Ham, we’d still been by far the better side. The change worked though so interesting to see him go back to maddersHere’s hoping reverting to playing both Kulusevski and Maddison works considering it bombed in the second half against Brighton and the first half against West Ham. It’s infuriating when we see a change (Sarr, Bissouma, Kulusevski) and we flourished only to revert back to the set up that leaves us way too open.
Problem is with Poch, there was never a youth player that would get a chance after the initial lot and with Ugo passing away, imo we lost a generation of talented playersWho was the last academy lad we were this excited about seeing? That’s exactly what I’ve just done!Or make a last minute reservation to a lunch spot and bank the credit for when Spurs are on Sky. You got to play the long game.
This is a common misconception. It's not the making of mistakes, it's the risk taking that creates success. And so as a manager, you need to create an environment in which the players are happy to take risks and not be afraid of making mistakes. And then if mistakes are made, that the feedback is clear and constructive. We actually learn a lot more from positive reinforcement of positive actions, but it's the mistakes we dwell on. I've always loved the way Ange talks so much about giving the players feedback, this is the key to progress, whether it's feedback to 'successes' or 'failures'. Let's hope he's giving a lot more of the former after today's game.Interesting that you say that - my view is that he always takes the view as to what will be best in the long run if he sticks to his guns. It’s about allowing the players to take risks, and make mistakes, trusting that the approach is the right way for long term success.
There’s a lot of study on that topic that suggests it’s the right approach in a lot of areas - from sport to learning a new language. Risk taking and making mistakes being rhe best way to achieve potential.
It’s great to see
