Opportunity knocks.
This weekend as well as us playing Palace, Man U play Southampton.
That means if Man U draw or win we have a chance to leap frog Southampton into a coverted 4th spot or be level on points for 4th, 5th on gd.
Normally a few opportunities like this occur and we fail to make the most of it.
Seem to remember it happening a few times under AVBs first season and under Harry.
Will we make the most of it?
Surely either Kane, Chadli or Eriksen will find the back of the net if no one else so if we can keep a clean sheet, a big if, then I fully expect us to take 3 pts.
Palace have a new man at the helm in Pardew which is going to make this a more difficult game than maybe it would have been.
I feel if we blow this chance we can kiss any hope (hope I never even had till last month) of top 4 goodbye.
If we get our foot in the door this weekend it must surely see a shift in priorities towards the league.
Here's hoping that Chelsea win was the start of something and not followed by dropping points against, with all due respect, a shower of shit lol.

COME ON YOU SPURS

Crystal Palace v Tottenham – Saturday Night Football, 5:30pm

I do fancy Tottenham and I think they have turned the corner. I have been impressed with them to be fair and they were very good against Chelsea.

The lad Harry Kane was unbelievable in that match, that’s as good as it gets. That was one of the best centre-forward performances I have seen. Not many people give Gary Cahill and John Terry the run around, he was absolutely outstanding against two of the best defenders in the world.

Alan Pardew has made the switch to Selhurst Park and I think he’ll do a good job because he is a good manager. They had a good result against Dover which was potentially the banana skin to end all banana skins, so to go there and win that easily was a good start.

He’ll keep them up, there’s no doubt about it, and he’ll get them going for this match, which will be a real battle. This will be a tough game for both sides, a proper London derby which we don’t really see anymore, with Palace and Spurs going at each other from the start.

PAUL PREDICTS: 1-1 (Sky Bet odds 5/1)
