Our team with rested players should still be beating a side in a lower division. We had the quality to win the game with what we started with.

I do agree with the principle of not resting players for the league cup, because we should be trying to win a trophy and not taking any risk with it. But that's not the same as believing the players he started with were incapable of winning this.
