Spence looked like the only player who actually cared and put effort in. Really harsh not to have starred him tonight, but he showed a really good attitude to come on and really put a shift in.

A win is a win but that was unbelievably poor and I end this game more concerned than I was at the start of it. All that matters is we got through but changes need to be made.

The result hides the fact that we were awful in all aspects. If Coventry had Haaland up front they’d have been 3 or 4 up.

Something really needs to change, feels like we’ve only been able to score counter attacking goals for about 4 years.

He's not a creator from the wing. People need to look at the stats, well and the eye test. He's a final ball, when it's on, and a finisher.

He looks better in the left. The Werner loan get more baffling every day and why oh why did we not sign a right winger….

Yea I’m still massively concerned tbh as I just don’t see how we score goals moving forwards against any half decent opposition.

Hopefully this can be a momentum changer but I’m still concerned tbh but glad we didn’t go out my god that would’ve been horrendous.

We need the likes of Johnson to be running onto balls like that to be effective. If only Ange could see that

I have no idea why we play wide players like Son, Johnson & Werner that are better suited to playing counter attacking football, when we are now a possession based team it’s lunacy.

These players need space to make runs into to be effective as Johnson’s winner proves. Playing them when we have teams camped in their own half/defensive third with no space for them to exploit will only mean we’ll continue to find it hard to break teams down.

If we’re to continue with this possession based play (which we will as Ange doesn’t change the way his teams play) the you need dribblers, creative cunning players with guile & good movement playing out wide.
