Is he sober yet?Grealish please
Never really been a fan of the lad.
Although he's not a striker, he brings to mind that saying about "would you rather a great goal scorer, or a scorer of great goals?".
Yeah, he did well at Liverpool but maybe that's because the team clicked around him?As if to imply that all he does is score flashy goals? I can't speak greatly of his time at Bayern and Barca but I know at Liverpool he had a massive influence over the team's performance even without the goals. He was the link man between midfield and attack, without him they struggled before they changed.

The quote I posted was more to do with him as a player, rather than his goal scoring prowess. Just something that sprung to mind.
I'm not saying he's a bad player, far from it but I just don't think he's as brilliant as was made out during his time in the PL.
It's horses for courses. I've never really looked into his stats and can only judge on my opinion of the times I saw him. He's a good player but I don't think he's the world-beater that he's often made out to be.
I could be wrong though, it wouldn't be the first time!
He was. Many people thought Eriksen on form was a better player than Coutinho.
Wasn't much in it I thought
I really don't think we will be going anywhere near him in the future. Far too expensive.
No.10s will always be criticised for quiet games, even when they are in good form. However, from what I've seen, Coutinho appears to offer less out of possession than Eriksen (pressing, tackling, interceptions etc.).He's class. Even playing badly he'll be better than 90 percent of the players in the prem. People seem to believe he has a good game in three because they judge a good game for him on a much higher standard.

Controversial but I still think the only reason Barca payed so much for him was that he’s Brazilian. They’d just sold Neymar so wanted to get in another Brazilian player. Many people thought Eriksen on form was a better player than Coutinho.

How much would it cost. Could we use the money more wisely. Personally a cheaper and better long term value would be Grealish for an example. IMOI don't understand the hard time he is getting from a lot. He was superb when Bayern came to town. He would be a fantastic addition to our team.
Completely agree on the price, I was just trying to highlight the fact that he's still a very good player who would improve us.How much would it cost. Could we use the money more wisely. Personally a cheaper and better long term value would be Grealish for an example. IMO

Would definitely improve us IMO, 100%. He wouldn't lose the ball often like Dele and Lucas do for a start. If you watch a team like Man City (I know I know) you realise they rarely give the ball away cheaply, same with Liverpool. In comparison to us in terms of ball retention and actually progressing on the pitch, the difference is staggering, we give it away for fun and too many in the team are guilty of being careless with the ball.
The general level of quality needs to be raised IMO and Coutinho would contribute to that but again, that's just my opinion.
