FIFA Medical Committee chairman Michel D'Hooghe does not believe football should return until September 1 at the earliest. D'Hooghe also feels changes will have to be made to rules and regulations whenever football returns, including yellow cards for spitting.

I reckon we should press pause on schools, sports until September. Then in September we cover what should be happening now. So the Summer term content for schools and the close of the season, last 10 league games, cup finales etc.

Then we shift to a new Calendar academic and sporting year. So end September to Summer.
We’d now have January to December with appropriate breaks/holidays.
We could even have a mid season summer break to stop the burn out. One month off in June/July and one month of in December
Schools can run January to December with the same holidays. One calendar year is one academic year. Think SA, Aus already do this.
Sorted. No one misses out, we just press pause for a period and pick back up when we are hopefully safe, we’ll and this virus is closer to been under control.

anyone got Boris’ phone number ?

I hate seeing footballers spitting every five minutes anyway, and dont see any need for it. You dont see rugby players doing it.

I used to be a distance runner and I spat all the time; but NOT AT someone. I suspect that is what the reference to spitting is about.
(And I don't know why sports people who run, spit, I avoided all dairy products the day before/ the day of a race and that seemed to make the problem a little better.)
