So, hypothetically, if you've got Kulusevski as a RWB and Son as LWB that makes it a 424 in you book??
Clearly not. There were 4 forwards on the pitch but they weren't all in the forward line since Kane was playing much deeper in a creative role and the Wingbacks were pushing up still.

A wingback is a role so yes you can have Wingbacks in any formation you want. Besides who said they were playing 424
