Can't see why we'd sign another 8 when we have Bentancur, grey, bergval and Sarr all playing there. That's probably the position we have the most depth in
I think (emphasis on the word think) that they believe Sarr is the only midfielder with the energy levels Ange wants one of the 8's to have.

He's more mobile and covers the ground better than anyone we have hence why we keep being linked to Gallagher and Ramsey

We had similar calls just before Bale returned.

Where football is concerned the word 'never' can sometimes ease it's way right up the chocolate chute.
I get what you’re saying in that one can never say never in football transfer scenarios but I’d put this in the nearly never or highly unlikely category. It’s Chelsea we’re dealing with here and I can see them right royally giving us the runaround teasing us with ifs buts and maybes only for them to do a deal elsewhere, and if Mendes is anywhere near the scene of deals in this package it spells even more this is in all probability not happening for us.

The only thing that Chelsea would want to sell us is a stench filled fart in an airtight lift and even then they’d want to overcharge us for it, and Mendes would want to change the goalposts at the last minute.

It’s looking like Bissouma & Bentancur are the 6s whilst Gray gets acclimatised and then one of them (or both) gets sold.

At least the poor bastard finally got out of that circus. Dark times when you've been feeling sorry for a Chelsea player.

Gallagher I could just about live with …but Mctomminay .. NO …. Just NO 🤦‍♂️
I’m not advocating for him but McTomminay is very underrated by many, in here and elsewhere. Without him last year Utd would have been in a worse than they were. He has loads of energy , covers a lot of ground, tackles, and scores important goals. Every team needs someone like him who will play anywhere he’s asked, always gives 100% and will always contribute to the team. I think Utd would be mad to sell him but if he leaves he could easily become an important player for another club.

Wow what a coincidence. Chelsea always said Gallagher and Felix deals were separate but now that Felix to Chelsea is agreed Gallagher is now flying over to Madrid?!
Its nice when things work out

Precisely, altho I actually rate Gallagher a bit. We get so sniffy though when it's British players. The problem is it isn't a popular position anyway - the stars are the workhorses on the whole - so that coupled with them being British and therefore expensive is partly why everyone loses their minds. I personally think Gallagher would have helped us and chipped in with goals. McTominnay isn't as bad as all that but there'll be a meltdown.

Yep I prefer Gallagher but he isn't atrocious like some are making out.

Apologies for bringing this thread back up but thank god it can be burned in the next few hours. Never to return.
