Shouid close/lock this thread, because as I said before, not happening. Yes we had an interest, but but not at their price. Plus he has made it clear he is prepared to negotiate a new contract. Or the good agent will advise him to see out his contract.

I’d love to be have been a fly on the wall in the transfer meeting that was had for our summer targets. It seems we are trying to get a minimum of one HG player in, probably 2 due to squad numbers, and it looks like the Gallagher deal is a no go. Couple that with Chelsea now talking to Palace about Olise, it would indicate a transfer for Eze seems very unlikely also.

I wonder which HG player we pivot to, do we go big on someone HG? Is there any available worth going big for? Do we go big on non HG and get cheaper HG to fill out the bench?

I just want us to hurry up so I can stop going over all these permutations in my head on squad construction!

I reckon we'll get Sancho. WLB said to keep an eye on a potential deal. Ticks all the boxes for me.

I know there are questions over his attitude but if we can do a loan with a obligation to minimise the risk it could be a really shrewd piece of business. The talent is unquestionable.

When was this as I don't recall seeing anything recently i.e. this summer?

If i'm honest, the ITK Ticker needs to be used more to see the updates.

For whatever it’s worth, Harry Brooks wouldn’t be against it…

This is basically what his dad said last Friday

Waste of time pursuing this any further, Ange likes him and we tried but realistically this was never happening. Chelsea's asking price and Gallagher's eagerness to stay made this unlikely at best.

I actually grew to want this deal to happen, purely because I feel he would have been our version of Henderson, the glue and somebody who does all the boring stuff. That said, it's a shame but time to move on to other serious targets.

That contract tho, he’s on 275-300k p/w. Whilst he might be willing to come down a little I can’t see him willing to half it. I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up with another loan abroad with Utd covering some of his wages again like last time.

Unfortunately I agree, but we’ve heard numerous times about Ange wanting the key signings in before pre season. Euros finish around 10 days after normal pre season starts I’m sure.
