Style of play and performances now are the worst they’ve been in 6 years, as bad as AVB-ball..just as boring, predictable and fucking sideways.

I don’t think Mourinho is the answer sadly...But Allegri, Ten Hag and Simeone would all be great options....

Interesting to see Xavi say he wants to manage in the Prem, i’ll give fucking anything a go at this point

The performances are unforgivable at the moment, but I'm 29 years old and Pochettino is in a class of his own in my lifetime of Spurs managers. If he's passed his best or we replace him, things could go very quickly back to the standard Tottenham of my lifetime. Depressing.

Just look at United, biggest club in the country and they've been in the shit since SAF left.

It’s worth rembering that the standard Tottenham of your lifetime is dead and buried though. We’ve never been in the position we are in now when it comes to being able to attract top class managers or players imo.

Allegri and Mourinho have forgotten more about coaching winning football teams than Poch will ever know sadly.

There's no guaranty whoever comes in will do any better. An upgrade on Poch, right now to take us to the next level is a Klopp type quality. Who's out there? Of course if some manager came in now of that quality and offered their services, that's a different story.
It's not all about quality. Let's face it, Redknapp was not a tactical genius or a shrewd mover in the transfer market. But he was what we needed at the time, an injection of energy and belief, something fresh and new. Our squad on paper is the third-best in the league, and nearly all of the players who challenged for the title are still here. There is no way it's as bad as the results have been - even if you put in a totally average manager who just gives us a bit of a reset, you'd expect Top 6 at the absolute minimum.

So you’re saying give Poch until the end of the season and if we finish 7th/8th then give him time next season as long as we’ve shown things are improving?
Yes. If we see that we're once again playing like we did a few years ago, then yes. Who else do you suggest we get in that is available and is an upgrade on Poch?

Something clearly wrong at the club. Hopefully its not Poch & he still wants to be here. If it's being caused by certain players not wanting to be at Spurs anymore then i think it's time to get them away from the squad & start picking people who want to play for us. Even if on paper that may seem to weaken us.

So you would rather get rid of the best manager we have had in years for 3 players with less than one year on their contract and 2 of them certainly want to leave at the end of it?
How could we possibly do without the 2019 version of Christian Eriksen ?.
How did you get that from my post?

Says more about of squad & the lack of investment in players that are going to put pressure on the players in the so called 1st team. The team & the squad have gone stale & unfortunately Poch doesn't seem to know how to turn it around.

I’ll say it. I want Mourinho. He’s a winner. He’s what we need. If he comes and I’m wrong then I’ll hold my hands up and say I got it wrong but he’s the best replacement we could seriously get.

Edit: who do the disagrees want then when Poch goes?
Anybody but Mourinho he just fucks up players and his best days are gone.

No, they lost to Chelsea.

None of the big clubs have palmed the competition off tonight, they all won comfortably.

We've already lost a third of our games in the league - this was the only competition we were likely to be able to push on in.

The idea of losing to a team in the 4th division, the lowest ranked team in the competition, and not calling Poch out on it when it's literally his job, is mental.

Only if you’re determined to act like a spoiled child. Football teams lose football games, sometimes to teams in weaker leagues.

Poch has had punching above our weight for fours years running. I’m not going to start ‘calling him out’ because we were knocked out of a competition no big club gives a shit about.

I don't buy that it's a couple of players. Nearly all of them are performing substantially worse than they did 2-3 years ago. When the whole squad is going down the shitter you have to look at the management.

Dier gave his shirt to little Colchester lad.
Dele chatted and smiled to the kids round him, a few hair ruffles.

Just a little bit of class.

Dier cares. Him not playing and the rest of them, Eriksen especially clearly not giving a monkeys has made me like him so much more.
He needs to play every week with the captains armband.

Not the most gifted but, the 2nd guy id want on my team after Kane
Dier, with the injuries and illness he has suffered, is actually the only one of the experienced players who has any excuse.
