That’s the big problem and it’s why I would want to stick with Poch ordinarily. But we don’t know what’s going on behind closed doors and something is up.

I’ve a feeling Levy will be paralysed with fear and won’t make the right decision. All I know is that he’s tried to get Mourinho twice before. Once when he was at Porto and then after he left Chelsea the first time. He likes him. Mourinho is out of work. It’s not a stretch to think he’d go for him.

I’m 50/50 it would be the right decision or not.
If Poch were to leave or get fired, he's definately high profile with a proven record as a winner. Could do a lot worse. Cue, photos of Levy and Mourinho "having a chance meeting" in his favourite restaurant by the weekend.

Why are people assuming Poch wants to be here to turn things around, long term anyway.

Think many are missing the elephant in the room... He's thinking about life after Tottenham, regularly I'd imagine, which is a big part of the problem I'd suspect.

This is the time for Pochettinho to be absolutely ruthless. There's players that haven't taken responsibility and players just past there sale by date. Pochettinho needs to cut players out.

I do worry knowing Levy and our fans the end now looks in sight. Personally I'd give Pochettinho a few transfer windows to sort things out.

Really want Poch to turn this around but the form especially away has been so fucking poor and with his weird press conference statements and odd formation/subs/picks it just feels a bit like the end. I hope I am wrong I so don't want us to have to rebuild again.

He’s tried that already.

Unfortunately the player he chose was Vertonghen.

Let's go back to old money, League Two is 4th Division.
Even some of the so called senior players tonight were shocking.
But the most disturbing thing is this continued reliance on pass, pass, pass and retaining possession it is not going to win anything with the current crop of players, top 4 maybe, trophies no.

Take the CL final which we barely turned up for out of the equation for a moment.

Doesn’t look so rosy then, does it?
Doesn't change my point at all mate. Points wise this season seems a-ok. Not great not bad.

Also, yeah, taking out achievements to judge someones achievements or value is completely bizarre and unrepresentative.

Let's contextualize a bit the run last season as well, it was during a massive injury crisis where we were playing llorente up top, Wanayama in the middle etc etc. Also our bad run was really composed of 4 in 5 away games against three of the top 5. If you remove those five games. It wasn't great but not bad. The worrying thing about our performances this year, ignoring Newcastle, is keeping hold of leads. Because if we did that we would be looking pretty rosy right now.

But its also the complete niavity in believing these issues would just disappear and a new manager would make us long term better. They probably wont. We would get a bounce for a bit then certain problems will emerge. Fucking Bill Nicholson had a dip, before remaking a good squad late 60s, Ferguson had a dip in the mid-2000s, and plenty more. Those were dips for seasons, not a few months, or year, or whatever.

Opinion during the season change a lot. Last season in December there was a poll of player of the season so far on this site, Dele finished second. By the end of the season everyone was saying how bad his season had been. At this point last season everyone thought that it would be between Chelsea and Man city. With Chelsea having won all but one of their games. A few months later Chelsea are a laughing stock. By the end they finish 3rd and win the EL Sarri then leaves,

Things change, people forget. If we get back on track by the end of the season everyone would have forgotten. Then as soon as negative things happen make a huge deal out of it all over again. Humans are incredibly fickle inconsistent and forgetful beings, I think we have a very good chance of getting out of it. If we don't then we have little to lose by waiting. We not getting relegated, and we are probably making EL at least. If we don't that might actually be a benifit to us next season, but that's by the by.

Poch needs another Adebyor vs Kane style purge, it’s the only way he can save his job. He needs to do at least do something, if he’s even bothered which I’m not convinced he is

If he wants to be here??
Levy needs a meeting with him to see if he is in it for the long haul or not, if he is great back him all the way, if not leave now and we get somebody who is committed and wants to be here

This is true. It's like when 'Arry's head got distracted by England, results fell off a cliff. As some have said, we don't know what's going on behind the scenes. It's clear that managers - to be successful - need as much concentration as the players do.

We've won 4 out of our last 17 games. 34 points total in 2019. At what point would you sack him?

Not now. I don't see any upside to sacking him. But there is a big upside if he turns it around as the bond will grow even stronger.

People saying Mourinho is laughable. Invest tens of millions in the Academy to get a manager who is deeply afraid of young players and only wants established stars on massive money. And without fail leaves every club in a worse position than he finds it.

There literally isn't a worst fit in football than Spurs and Mourinho.

I still believe in Poch. He's shown loyalty to us in the past and we should do the same to him now. He said the revolution would be painful, he wanted a big turnover of players because he saw this coming. He didn't get it. Stick with him and he'll get it back. Sacking managers should be a last resort.

He still doesn’t have to play a diamond two up top formation tho!
