The League Cup is totally beneath us and Poch with our glorious histories. It isn't beneath Guardiola, Mourinho, Ferguson, Pellegrini, etc. but WTF have those losers ever achieved.

Only if you’re determined to act like a spoiled child. Football teams lose football games, sometimes to teams in weaker leagues.

Poch has had punching above our weight for fours years running. I’m not going to start ‘calling him out’ because we were knocked out of a competition no big club gives a shit about.

Would you have given a shit about it if we won it?

Dier gave his shirt to little Colchester lad.
Dele chatted and smiled to the kids round him, a few hair ruffles.

Just a little bit of class.

Dier cares. Him not playing and the rest of them, Eriksen especially clearly not giving a monkeys has made me like him so much more.
He needs to play every week with the captains armband.

Not the most gifted but, the 2nd guy id want on my team after Kane

Dier was seen to say "That was embarrassing" as he left the pitch tonight. Not happy.

Style of play and performances now are the worst they’ve been in 6 years, as bad as AVB-ball..just as boring, predictable and fucking sideways.

I don’t think Mourinho is the answer sadly...But Allegri, Ten Hag and Simeone would all be great options....

Interesting to see Xavi say he wants to manage in the Prem, i’ll give fucking anything a go at this point

I'm not disagreeing totally but the first half display against Palace was really good. Our problems are from lack of pace from the wings. I bet if Sessegnon had played at LWB in the game tonight we's have done better.

Remember that time when we lost to grimsby?

This feels worse.
Not for me I was hammered that night and was the only time in my life I've cried after a game of football. Not because we lost but was the first time it dawned on me that I cared more about spurs than anyone wearing white that night. Disclaimer Might also have been the amount of booze I'd chucked down my neck.

To be fair that sounds exactly like what Roy would say.

Fair enough. but he would have kicked someone on the way out and gotten in player's faces. I am a Dier fan and hoped he would have imposed himself on the team's intensity.

If we don't win vs Southampton and don't show something against Bayern I think he will be gone.

Poch is, undoubtedly, the best Spurs manager I’ve seen in my lifetime (I’m 32).

By the same token of appreciation, Harry Redknapp was also the best Spurs manager I’d seen in my lifetime at that point.

As was Martin Jol before him, IMO.

They both inevitably hit their ceiling and moved on, leaving the club in a much better place than they found it.

The Champions League final has masked what has been an objectively appalling year for both the club and Pochettino in every other regard. It’s about time we seriously considered the possibility that he, too, has hit his ceiling, and it’s time to move on.

This isn’t a knee jerk reaction to tonight. I didn’t see the game, and I wouldn’t call for a manager’s head on a spike for a cup upset. All the big clubs have one every few years.

This just seems to be where we’ve been heading to since January with no sign of it turning around.

Admire your sentiment, but City have won it three out of the last four seasons. They seem to take it seriously.

Winning is habitual.

It's hardly acting like a spoiled child when we've won 4 games in our last 17, not won away for 9 months, and our last six months of league form would've seen us relegated in 5 of the last six seasons.

Loads of clubs do give a shit about this competition and they win it and the trophies go in their cabinet. We don't win anything, we aren't bigger than any competition and we have a big enough squad to be able to compete for the EFL Cup and still maintain other challenges.

How anyone can be ok with this and not see that there's one person whose prime responsibility this is, I don't know.

Personally I think it'll be a John McDermott caretaker stewardship until the end of the season.

I think you're asking a lot when he's literally only just played his first minutes of the season, out of everyone he is the only one to come out without me cursing their existence so hopefully he can kick on.
