Didn’t Liverpool go out to a shit team in the LC last year?

Yeah, it’s disappointing, but it is a competition that big clubs are happy to palm off, particularly in the early stages.

Lose our next couple in the league and hang Poch out to dry, but not for this waste of a competition.

No, they lost to Chelsea.

None of the big clubs have palmed the competition off tonight, they all won comfortably.

We've already lost a third of our games in the league - this was the only competition we were likely to be able to push on in.

The idea of losing to a team in the 4th division, the lowest ranked team in the competition, and not calling Poch out on it when it's literally his job, is mental.

Which is fine, had we not put nearly all of our attacking players on the pitch by the end. You know, like we were actually trying to win the game.

If we can finally get a front six of Ndombele, Lo Celso, Winks, Son, Kane and Lamela together, we should be fine. At least those 6 all definitely want to be here.

We’ve got to be looking to take a cut price for Eriksen at Xmas, surely. He’s going through the motions.

It can’t help that we have half a dozen individuals still around the first eleven who won’t sign contracts (Eriksen, Toby),were mooted for sale (Wanyama, Rose,), or seem miserable as fuck (Dier, Jan).
Realistically I think Dier, Wanyama, Rose, Jan, Toby, Eriksen will all have to go within the next year to freshen things up.

Rely on those six you mentioned plus a few squad players and the kids as the base going forward into the transfer market.

Poch has earn't the right to stay at least til the end of the season. We're 6 games in. Let's wait until our new players are back from injury/catch up with the pace of the PREM/Poch's demands. Even if we don't make europe for next season, if we show signs that things are improving, then he needs to carry on into next season.
We're on 19 points from 18 games. Let's say that form continues - we don't get better or worse, both of which are possible. At Christmas, we're somewhere between 19th and 15th. Does he still have that right?

That was dreadful. But you know what's worse? All the fickle ****s calling for Pochettino's head. You make me sick.
The problem I have with Pochettino is the negative way he talks about our club. He looks down on us and shows little respect. Generally when a manger loses the plot at press conferences it is the beginning of the end (Francis, Vilas-Boas, Redknapp etc.). This could be the case with Pochettino. Something at the club is very wrong.

Have loved Poch at our club - been the best years since I started supporting the club back in the 70s but it's seriously starting to look and feel like Poch's days may now be numbered. He's a good manager but not a great manager as he consistently makes too many wrong decisions to win titles. I'll certainly be disappointed if and when Poch goes but it seems inevitable at the moment.

But the profile of our great club is as good as it has ever been and I honestly think we can now attract the best managers in the world - those that have a proven track record of winning trophies. I also reckon that Levy will be under immense pressure to make the right appointment. Eddie Howe has been mentioned. Good manager no doubt but he doesn't have the tippety top profile that we need to drive us forward and if Levy were to move for Howe then it would say that we are settling for another few seasons of obscurity.

For me, it has to be Max Allegri and no-one else.

I think you ladies need to get a grip. It’s the League Cup to be honest. I am not that worried we are out. The PL and CL should be our focus. Clearly the run out for Vic and Eric didn’t work. They are rusty. Poch never liked this Cup anyway. The Saints will be the test. Hope the lads are up for it. Eriksen is a worry. Just saying. A few others in MF need to step up. Expecting him to be your ‘go to’ player this season will end in pain.

I'd like to win something realistic

It sounds mental, but I could see Poch leaving sooner rather than later. Be it by choice or by force.

We absolutely cannot afford to waste the last season with the likes of Eriksen, Toby, Vertonghen, and the possibility of more leaving. If that means getting a new manager in to motivate the squad then so be it.

So you would rather get rid of the best manager we have had in years for 3 players with less than one year on their contract and 2 of them certainly want to leave at the end of it?
How could we possibly do without the 2019 version of Christian Eriksen ?.

I don't care what Poch likes. I want to watch entertaining spurs and enjoy it 100%. I want my Spurs to win games not embarass me. Footballis being played for fans and this is utter shit what we are getting in last months.

Dier gave his shirt to little Colchester lad.
Dele chatted and smiled to the kids round him, a few hair ruffles.

Just a little bit of class.

Dier cares. Him not playing and the rest of them, Eriksen especially clearly not giving a monkeys has made me like him so much more.
He needs to play every week with the captains armband.

Not the most gifted but, the 2nd guy id want on my team after Kane
Right now we need guys that give a shit about the club

Wouldn't have been so bad if we played our whole reserve team and showed we didn't care - at least it would have been a rest for the squad.
