Mourinho is the past not the present. If we got him 15 hrs ago great but he has been found wanting since winning the CL with Inter. Those who love Jose should be forcible next made to watch that match forever
It's about time we put you out to pasture then, if he's 10 years younger but is already set for the knackers yard. :)

Harry just said on Sky that he “knows for a fact that he (Poch) thought he had the Man Utd job last year”.

Coincides with the drop off in results after Burnley, if he was approached then (before they sacked Mourinho). We were talking on here the other week about the fact something must of happened behind the scenes then and this was it, the manager wanted out and the players knew.

Nice for Redknapp to confirm our theories. Doesn’t paint Poch in such a positive light now. Shades of Jol wanting you go to Newcastle here and speaking to them behind our backs. Another beloved manager doing it, this time we kept him on.

Harry? Harry Redknapp?

I watched The Debate last night and in the first part he said he knew for a fact that Poch wanted the United job when it came available, and in the next part he said he 'had it on good authority' which is something else entirely, so make of that what you will.

I think if we took everything that managers, players and journo's said as gospel, we'd never know what was really true. They've all got their own opinions on things, and so too do we. It's why I try not to take any notice of what pundits or ex-players or managers say about anything any more. I just watch the games. That's all.

Having said that, I'll be glued to Sky Sports from 2pm to watch Jose's first proper press conference.

I don't think Harry lies - think he believes he's telling the truth. As much as I like him, he lives in a magical world. One with fairies, fantasies and dogs that open bank accounts.

:ROFLMAO: Oh yes, I'd forgotten about 'Rosie'?

I don't believe that Redknapp truly understands the notion of "for a fact"

Seems there must have been a severe breakdown between Levy & Poch because he wasn't able to say goodbye to the players in person & had to leave a hand written note.

Lol the irony, shades of Harry taking his eye off the ball when Capello got sacked by England.

I also enjoyed how Redknapp kept loosening the validity of his knowledge as the show went on

- I know for for a fact
- I have it on good authority
- I think that's what rosie was trying to say through her barks

The whole sorry episode where our press guy had to step in and stop the media asking him about the Utd job, whilst Poch just sat there flashing his knickers at them, was awful to watch as a Spurs fan.

It's starting to make a bit more sense now...no wonder he lost the dressing room.
If Harry Redknapp knew, then the players must've known.

This! Whilst I am thankful for what Poch has done, it did not pass me by that once he became hot property he constantly flirted with United/Madrid and then talked about leaving after the champions league final.

Ironically when he came under pressure she started to say he wanted to be here another 5 years.

He was given plenty of time to turn in round, couldn't do it. Deserved to go, but grateful for what you achieved.

More than likely just Harry running his mouth off as usual. I bet he knows nothing but has to appear to know to keep his TV career going.

I love the guy to bits but he seriously lost a few bricks from the load last season. The erratic behaviour, the form of the side falling off a cliff before the CL final. It was like watching a Greek tragedy in slow motion.

So sorry we could not have had a Poch dynasty and perhaps one day we'll find out why he went bonkers when he did.

Jesus Perez has tweeted his message. I am sure Poch has ways of saying goodbye.

I think Poch's tenure at Spurs will be viewed differently when the truth is outed. He obviously was scheming behind closed doors and was found out. This is further evidenced in our play and his approach over the last year. Levy is no fool and acted in the best interests of the club only too late imo. It is such a shame that his tenure will be tarnished by this. He was my hero for three years and then he wanted to dance with the devil.

In years to come he will be mainly remembered for winning nothing and being a nearly man.

Do we think there was anything in his severance package which prevents him from working in the PL for a period? And if there is, are those clauses even enforceable? From memory AVB had one from Chelsea before he joined us.

Bayern aren't exactly good fit for him, their directors like to bring their players, players hold more power than head coach and they complained about training methods before (although they wished for harder training). Think it's Real Madrid or Manchester United for him.

There’s some poor kid been stuck down a well for two days in Sandbanks while Harry thinks the dogs been giving him all the inside info on Poch.

He's better off taking a break for a while, but sure what do I knowo_O

Yeah I would agree, recharge the batteries, travel around all the top training grounds in Europe picking up tips and look for a new challenge in the summer

Bayern are a far better fit than Real.

Players complained about training methods because Ancelotti's training was low intensity and were really short so they started to conduct training methods by themselves, Robben said that his Son's youth team was better and far more intense, don't think there's gonna be an issue with training as far as Poch is concerned, I think he fits them and Utd best.
