Please read this piece from David Hytner. He's almost always bang on the money. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/nov/19/tottenham-hotspur-mauricio-pochettino-exit-route

This just reassures my sentiment.

1. Daniel Levy is a parasite that needs to sell and fuck off as quickly as quickly as humanly possible.
2. Toby, Jan, Rose & Eriksen can never, under any circumstances, play one more minute for this football club.

That’s all well and good but again Hynyer pretends that the decline in form and results only happened after the summer. We’ve been in a steady decline since the start of last season. This isnt just about players wanting to move on and running their contracts down.

No I think he should have done more to back him but I'm not disputing that, I'm disputing the fact that it was all down to Levy why we have only won 1 trophy in his time.
Well I’m probably being facetious with the people blaming the manager(s) for not winning more
Trophies.

I didnt want Poch out but Im glad its over. Not his tenure but the drama and suspense.
You told me we'd be here before December even rolled around after seeing GLC holding his shirt up on the last day of the transfer window, I'd have laughed in your face.

Genuinely thought some of the cobwebs would have been blown away over the summer and we'd get back on track league-wise. We managed to get worse somehow.

I hate this club at times.

Gutted. Thanks for making us feared Poch. For awhile there, we were all berry berry happy.

Levy started this the year after the Leicester season. We had such a golden chance to go for it the year after but rather than going for Mane and Wijnaldum, we got N’Koudou and Janssen. 16-17 we played the best football I have ever seen from us. That was our chance to go big in this cycle and we fucked it.

Sacking Poch to get Mourinho in would bite us in the ass. Mourinho is everything Levy isn't so a clash is bound to happen, probably instantly. Would love to be proven wrong though.
People forgetting Levy offered the job in 2007.

Once the emotion settles, we will all realise, Poch actually left us after the ajax semi final when he said, it would be a miracle for spurs to achieve CL final again. I dont think any player/staff wants to hear this.
he said lots of strange things from this point onwards, about leaving and being unrepeatable, after spending 4 years trying to turn around the view of the club into a big club mindset and acting as a big club then for whatever reason starting saying the opposite

I suppose if Jose does come in he will have had assurances by Levy that there will be money to spend because the man does not work on a budget unless he did peyote in the desert during his sabbatical, had an epiphany and changed his entire philosophy.

Whilst I believed a change was needed still strange to see it actually happen.

Still this is the right decision for me, thanks for everything Poch and maybe we will cross paths again in the future.

In our immediate future Jose will be coming in and if he has a fire underneath him and a point to prove it could be great.

Really want to see a response from the players now, whether we agree with it or not they have got what they wanted and need to start performing.

What identity did he give us though? What do you mean by it?
I mean we were going absolutely nowhere. And he gave us a philosophy as a club, a way of doing things, a way of playing that fit with what we've been about since Bill Nick. Not turgid AVB bullshit. Or that dross in the 90s. Something we could connect with.

People forget how disalutioned the fans were before Poch. You could feel it in the stadium. No connection to the players. The club.

That's what I mean by identity.
