Jol did not deserve to go like this. Yes if it came to the end of the season and we had Ramos in line then yes - a standing ovation a the last game and everybody would leave it with their heads held high, but it seems we are left with a caretaker manager yet again and all the progress we have made has been lost.

But this is Tottenham Hotspur, where the board seem to take particular pleasure in going behind the managers back and failing to keep anything in the boardroom. If they took this descision before the match - they couldn't even keep it a secret until half-time, complete shambles.

The board should be ashamed how could they sack MJ on the basis of what 10 games - if we look at the past 76 Premiership games, no-one was complaining then. They are a discredit to Spurs and if anyone is to leave it should be them.

Who was it who leaked it then?

As you obviously know

Well someone obviously did as the whole country knew before the players. If Jol/Levy/Kemsleytwat decided before the game they were going it should have either been kept quiet or told the players.........

I'll have one guess who let it out.....starts with Paul......ends with Kemsley and has a big fat TWAT in the middle.....

Im gutted because he is such a nice fella, huge heart and wanted to be succesful, we all had a great relationship with him BUT he has never (chelsea apart) beaten a top side since he has been in charge we have found out on numerous occasions he is tatically inept and no match for the likes of wenger and co.

I had a benefit dinner with a client the other evening and Harry Redknapp was on our table, i grilled him bout spurs and he duly replied! He was offered the job last december and then we went on big unbeaten run so they stuck with jol but the reason they wanted him out before now and back then in december is because of his lack of work! he never goes to watch another game never the youth team or the reserves no games across europe or any in the prem league, apparently as soon as 1st team training is finished he is on his way home! Paul Kemsley speaks to harry most days and wanted him to take it but harry says he only wants to work for 2-3 more years so is happy to stick where he is.
he also mentioned that jol doesnt have a relationship with any other manager in prem league he says he is very private and never socialises??? just thought id pass it on.

Yet on the TV they said that Jol handed in his resignation? is it the sack or a resignation? or is someone telling porkies?

I think i read somewhere, can't remember where though, that the club had asked him to step down, thus making it a sacking.

Where was it i saw it?

Out of interest what would kemsley have to gain by doing that?

Is it totally impossible that the information was leaked by MJ, CH or somebody that they may have confided in?

At last .. It would make my new year the best ever if we managed to make good money from the sale of Defoe and Zokora!!

Thanks Martin for all you've done but both you and chris have lost the plot and really need to make way so we can get this great club up where it belongs in the premiership!!

ITV mentioned about Jol handing in his resignation and it being accepted at half time? now to say that the board sacked him when news was already out to us on the TV that he resigned?

Is Poyet going to translate between Ramos and the team ?

If it is Ramos is he just being a merceniary for a "dizzying offer" .

The current board members chose Santini not Martin Jol .

How many changes of management are we going to have to go through before we get anybody as good as Jol again ?

I think it's safe to say he was sacked MrsK. The official club statement says he was, which is probably more reliable than some fucknut at ITV. Actually.....Spurs board....reliable..... same sentence.... maybe not.

So confusing! 2 things on TV, crazy!

OK, I will help you. Jol was asked to step down. So he stepped down. He can say he quit (because he stepped down) the club can say they sacked him (because they asked him to step down). Got it?

I'm absolutely disgusted at the events of tonight. Our best manager in 20 years sacked because of what? A "poor" start to the season against some tough opponents? Identical to last season where we finished 5th? A lot of the problems are down to the players being below par, not the manager.

I have to say that while I think this rivals hiring George Weah's cousin as worst footballing decision ever, there may, just may, be a chance that a new guy comes in and fixes our leaky defence and shit passing. However it took us 20 years to get Jol, are we really going to find someone better straight away?

Well here we go again, chuck the manager out, start rebuilding again, new manager and training staff, FFS Spurs sort it out its getting f**king boring with the same routine every 2-3 years.

Thanks Martin your were the best f**king manager we have had for the last 5-10 years and really showed that we could progress, THFC have just lost a mini-legend in the making.

On another note, does anyone else keep getting a mental image of Martin Jol with his resignation in a cellophane bag, whacking it with a rolling pin?
