The writing is on the wall really.
Poch next Man Utd manager, he is liked by Fergie who has already spoken to him before. He fits their current criteria of developing young players.
He will be backed financially.
Ole has 2 games IMO... If he loses both, I think he will be replaced - by Poch.

Make no mistake if he takes over at Man Utd, they will be top 4 next season and he will probably be there for a long time.

I'm not sure that's nailed on. It could easily go horribly wrong for Poch at Utd. There's such pressure to bring immediate success going to be on a manager who's never won anything, with mainly kids and possibly some signing not his own. He'll defo improve them but it will have to pay dividends very quickly. He won't have Harry Kane either.

and he’s got to get pogba and martial to do his double session training schedule every week and also his intense preseason. He’s going to find that really easy!

And when he wants them sold Woodward turns round and says they aren't allowed to leave. I’m sure Poch will take that really well just like Mourinho did!

I really don't see how Poch fails at United unless he hasn't learnt to get over the line and win a trophy he'll make them very good.

Why wouldn't they? Pogba has already worked under Conte's intense regime and Martial is hardly a problem child, they just need direction and we know how good Poch is for getting the best out of players.

Not if he insists on playing the same style of football that he played with us over the last year or so. We were inexplicably bad given the players he had at his disposal. He will need to learn from his mistakes if he is going to be successful in his next job.

Come on, it wasn't just his tactics that made us performed badly there were many other factors that influenced this. Mainly to do with having to move stadiums and not being able to spend money. He won't have these isssues at Man U.

People can try and convince themselves he won't be a success but the fact is for 4 and half years he was very good for us. He's one of the best managers in the world and unfortunately Man U will benefit from this.

I’m not suggesting that Pochettino will fail elsewhere, he’s a very good manager and might well success. However, he’s proven, twice now, than in the PL he’s very good as a project manager who can take a team of players and create a unity within which they thrive, improve, and reach their highest level. Winning major honours is a different ball game and you can be an excellent manager for one type of club and less so at another. I wouldn’t say his achievements at Spurs are necessarily superior to Moyes at Everton or Allardyce at Bolton in terms of maximising those clubs resources and getting those clubs to a much greater platform than they’d been accustomed to. Moyes failed at Utd, Allardyce will unlikely ever get a chance at that level and rightly slow. Redknapp took us into the top four, twice, no other Spurs manager had done so in the premier league, he also gave West Ham by far their best period in decades and he won a trophy with Portsmouth, he still was never even looked at by a Man Utd or Liverpool.

Pochettino’s achievements here are equal and maybe even better than Guardiola’s at City for instance, or Conte at Chelsea, it doesn’t mean that he could have achieved more than Guardiola or Conte at those clubs.

I think he best move would be to go to PSG, Real or the next available job with a top Italian dude. If he goes to another top PL club and doesn't cut it he’ll never have another shot, if he goes to a project (Everton, Wolves, Leicester when it eventually comes up) he risks going stale as a guy who just does projects. Big club, overseas, less competitive league, win trophies and return to the premier league with a top club once he’s protected by that pedigree.

I don’t think either player has the correct attitude at Man U. Martial is moody and a sulker and pogba is pogba, who knows what you’re going to get game in game out. He’ll turn up when he wants. Not the kind of player Poch will like and he won’t be allowed to sell him so will be in a no win situation.

I agree, he needs a new challenge and wherever that is, if he has good players, it will be a success.

Didn't Poch try to sign Martial the season before he went to Yanited? I reckon he's a player that will respond well to him.

Pogba is just a twat.

I think that's just a media/fan narrative, Martial is just unsettled, you can see he needs a manager to push him like Pep pushed Sane. We always hear about these type of players at similar age who need managing properly and I believe Martial is one of them.

And Pogba has always been a scapegoat for insecure dickheads like Souness, he was absolutely fine under Conte and when he plays for France we don't hear about these supposed problems.

That was simply relationship burn out after 5 and 1/2 years of players hearing the same messages and no player turnover.

He'd be walking into a United side laden with young talent and a big transfer budget. If he gets even %70 of the "buy in" he got with the young Spurs team he took over they will be formidable surely?

Poch's deficiencies tactically were never a real problem until the players stopped buying in.

Seems as though Simeone could be out the door of Atelti. Pochettino to replace him, and Diego in at United...?

Maybe. No doubt we were brilliant under him for a couple of seasons, but some of the performances during the last year have been as bad as anything we saw under AVB, Sherwood etc, and that's pretty inexcusable given the players he's had at his disposal. I can't help but wonder whether there was a large element of luck in that he had almost the perfect squad for the style of play he wanted, but once Walker left, and Dembele started picking up injuries he wasn't able to adapt and it all stated to fall apart. If the next squad of players he inherits are willing to run through walls for him like ours were, and he's clever in the transfer market he'll probably smash it in his next job, im just not convinced that will happen at United.

Because Simeone is a great manager. Getting results against Barca and Real regularly. He'd definitely sort out United's awful defence. So, imo, they would become a huge threat to our ambitions of silverware.
