Welcome to Club Ownership 101.
In this three-minute course (unless you can read at above a six-year old level) you will learn all you need to know about Tottenham Hotspur Football Club ownership.
Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is made up of shares. If a person or a company has more than half of those shares, (what is known as being the majority shareholder), they are in charge. When a person or company is in charge, they tell others what to do. They do not get told what to do.
Tottenham Hotspur Football Club's majority shareholder is ENIC International Ltd., which is a company holding 85% of Tottenham Hotspur shares.
Because 85% is more than half, this means that ENIC is in charge of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
ENIC is partially owned by Daniel Levy. Because the company owned by Daniel Levy and Joe Lewis is in charge, that means that one of them is in charge. IN this particular instance it is Daniel Levy.
Now because when a person is in charge they aren't told what to do, saying that must leave doesn't work. So, someone saying, 'Levy out' is like saying that water should stop being wet.
