"..... was last year named Goalkeeper Coach of the Year at the FA Licensed Coaches' Club Awards."

I can understand Poch wanting his backroom staff with him but considering the above it seems a bit daft to be moving him on. Surely we could have accommodated him somehow.

"Independent: Pochettino brings with him his backroom staff from St Mary’s in assistant manager Jesus Perez, first-team coach Miguel D’Agostino and goalkeeping coach Toni Jimenez."

Because he's brought his own goalkeeping coach with him, Tony was odds on to go first

Great pen saves in 1984 (y)

Yeah. If he's that good a goalkeeping coach, couldn't we develop him and expand his skills by working with an age group across all areas. Get Freund to mentor him, then he'd have something to do too.

Fair play to Tony, done great on that night in 84, but never much of a high career.
Football has changed and moved on, you have to trust the new man in charge.
We cannot live on past memories, as good as they were.

He'll probably end up with Teddy at the Spammers. If Green doesn't need him, nobody does.

Sorry to see Parkes go but Poch must be allowed to bring his own staff, can't have Levy telling him what staff he must have.

This is the worst part about changing managers. First Chris Hughton, Clive Allen, now Tony Parks.

Toni Jiminez is supposedly a key man when it comes to building squad morale. A bit of a joker and a highly approachable member of the coaching staff

He was voted Goalkeeping coach of the Year by his peers so I don't think sentimentality has anything to do with him having a job at the club.

Should be interesting to see how LLoris takes this as he and Tony got on really really well

Time to move on, Poch perhaps has different coaching ideas. Nothing new to a new broom wanting to sweep clean.
