I think Jose has been playing the long ball because our midfield has been weak in his first few matches.

With the likes of Ndombele, GLC & Lamela back fit and available , we might see less long balls as these players are better passers than Sissoko, Dier or Winks.

With regard to Defoe, I wasn’t really suggesting that we get Defoe back but just that he’s a better player than the current Benteke.

I think playing for Liverpool did that. Up until the Klopp iteration, they seemed to be very good at signing strikers and destroying them.
