Curious to know whether people would prefer 34 year-old Llorente or 29 year-old Benteke though...

Not a question I thought I'd be asking in a Spurs transfer forum in 2020 admittedly.

FFS he has played 62 Prem games over the last two and a half seasons and scored FOUR GOALS .
We do not need a lump who cant kick with either foot and has the touch of a rapist. Before anyone pipes up about holding the play up etc he has ONE Assist over the last 1.5 seasons/31games
He was, is , and always will be garbage. Palace want him off the payroll for a reason.

Llorente, but only on a very short term deal.

Whoever keeps bumping this fucking thread (am only replying as it’s recently bumped) should be banned instantly. Talk about the stuff of nightmares. Every time I see this with unread posts I want to tear my eyes out.

Said it all for me. Stop bumping this fucking thread (from now). :ROFLMAO: For bloody nothing as well ?

Links to players like Benteke is why we need a genius DoF like Campos, he'd have us lining up a bid for some young emerging striker in a non top-5 league that turns out to be class like Osimhen. Man has the magic touch for discovering young talent.

When we had Llorente we never crossed the ball... since we’ve sold him we constantly put crosses in for our imaginary striker lol. We miss his presence but not his inability to move. There’s striker options out there but it looks like we don’t want to spend actual money on one which would completely rule the likes of Jovic out as Madrid would want to recoup the £50m they spent on him.

Anything is better than nothing

Agree and thought so with Nelsen and Saha too - we woud've been worse off without those deals too. However as long as there are more suitable short or long term options, we should look for those. However it it's a choice between marginally better option permanently or short deal for "Saha", I'd take latter.

“Tottenham had looked at a potential deal for Crystal Palace's Christian Benteke earlier this month, a player they once wanted to sign in his prime but now having just 29 has not gone on to be the goalscorer he threatened to be.
He is however a target man with Premier League experience and Palace are one of a number of clubs who have been in discussions with Spurs over the signing of young right-back Kyle Walker-Peters.
The Belgium international would provide a similar foil to the likes of Dele Alli, Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura as Llorente did during Kane's absences last season and that may be something Tottenham look back into in the final days if other options do not materialise.”

Ally Gold giving him a decently positive wrap, I can just see this happening on deadline day.

As a third option I'd choose a bullet to the head. No offence to Llorente but he's not exactly on an upward curve, I'd prefer a younger player with potential.

Didn't he once have a good season for Villa? I wonder if he even remembers it himself it was so long ago ...some experience.

This would be a whole new tier of low.

At least Saha and Nelson were old but half decent on their day.

Benteke is just shit. He’s absolute shite and it’s impossible to convince me otherwise.
