I'm really not convinced by mourinho at all, most the games we have won we have been out played in and got lucky. Think it's a massive mistake by him now having parrott at least on the bench, why the fuck would you put 5 midfielders on the bench. Skipp is only there to hold the drink bottles, he cant play any worse than winks has if he had a blindfold on and his legs tied together

Just saw the replay of the goal, did Jan fucking turn his back on the shot?!
That's how some defenders defend sometimes by turning the body. TBH, how you want them to defend, rush up and face the ball full body straight up?

It's no good having players who can make killer passes if the entire team is behind them. Put Alli on for Verts and let's see if Lo Celso and Ndombele can hit their man

Could use some Lamela fire in the belly in the 2nd half, as long as he doesn't replace Lo Celso, would be nice if Alli's out to prove a point as well

This was the midfield everyone wanted though ...
The midfield is irrelevant when there's 6 players behind them and only two lightweights jogging around ahead of them.

Look at the options our midfield do have when they get the ball, full back, center back or pass it to a man surrounded.

System is garbage with this group of players and state of fitness. Especially now we are losing.

One of the biggest issues with sitting back is that your midfielders start by being conservative which means that when they receive the ball two things happen. One they look for the long pass immediately or two, they are not sharp enough so they need two or three touches but they are also pressed immediately which leads to turn over.

When you play on the front foot, your touch is sharper, your awareness is better. The times we've threatened is because we pushed higher up and became more aggressive.

no it isn’t, we are playing winks + ndombele in cm and gio has been shafted out wide.
The key here is that the players on the pitch are the ones the hive mind wanted ... Looks just as shite to me.

We have to find a way to get Lo Celso in the game and the only answer I can think of is Lamela.

Still not sure how we score though.

Big 45 minutes coming up.

COYS!

I dont actually think Ndombele has been that bad. He has made some great passes and set the tempo a few times. Some of you lot seem like you want him to fail here.

He has had his moments but they are too few and far between, to me he goes down too easily and defensively he switches of - he need to improve his mental state if he wants to push himself further.

As woeful as I expected. Can’t believe I don’t have better things to do than watch this shit every week.

Right. Verts and Davies both off.
Tanganga to LB. Aurier on at RB. A much quicker back 4 that will allow us to defend 20m higher up the pitch.
Dele on and added to midfield closer to Moura and Bergwijn.
Then Lamela on for Ndombele as soon as we get to a point where Lamela can last until the end.
Oh, and remind the useless ***** that it's a London derby and they're paid thousands of pounds a week.

Three subs at half time? Never going to happen.

Is it though? They're ball players aren't they? So that's the excuse now? Lightweights are the excuse? haha the state of some of you.

Everytime we play Chelsea their players play like mad-men

Our game plan these days seems to be, play s*** for 70 minutes, invite pressure (even though we can't defend well), give the ball to the opposition as often as possible, concede, then 'spring into action' for a 15 minute period where, we hope we can score several goals.

Well with key men injured and 3 games in 6 days against a fully rested pacey squad, I think we have looked ok. Jose has kept us in this game and we have tested their defence. Another 15 mins and Dele will come on

Skipp for Winks is an easy change to make. Winks on a yellow and being ghosted by. Get a DM on and have a proper screen in midfield. Let Ndombele and Lo Celso concentrate on advancing the ball.
